LMAO!!!

It's ALWAYS...just fun and games until someone Hulks out...then it gets Real!!! :BA

Yeah, I hope we finally get to hear Hulk tell us why he hates Banner...because he's puny of course. I know Ang's Hulk subtly did it...but not enough of it and I don't think the GA got it.

Would be cool if one of the Avengers said "Dr. Banner?" after he's transformed and Hulk says, "Do I look like puny Banner to you?"

Id love to hear that high pitched music from the old tv show,
followed by a slow camera turn around banner showing the green veins appear crawling up his body. (loved that from TIH). Then the cuts like we saw of his body tearing through his clothes, while he screams in pain. IMO the more horrific and painful the transformation looks, the better to feel that he hates that part. Then maybe banner is begging for IT to stop, almost like asking hulk to stop trying to come through. Then the whole
mood changes as hULk emerges psychologically as well as physically. Then we get the money shot of hulk saying something.
I want it to un-comfortable. I also want to hear Banner say "...the pain!"

All of these are great ideas! The moment the transformation is complete the characters and audience should be thinking "Oh S***!!!"

I don't think the heart-beat was ever portrayed as the sole reason for his transformation - it was just a signal, a flag that whatever combination of processes caused him to change were kicking in. He didn't change when running for example.

Yes, but he did have to stop and lower his heart rate- looked at his watch. He was about to change. Not to mention the intimate scene with Betty:doh:. The idea was just stupid. I do hawever love the "Days without incident" counter that occasionally pops up on the screen. I hope they keep that.

As far as the Ang Lee transformations; i liked the first one too. I also loved the 'smashing door' image that we see before he changes, as Hulk is trying to escape. Hope they keep that.

I really love the new pic of banner, tinkering with that device. Ruffalo was truly INSPIRED casting, i really do think whedon "gets" it. My only hope is if he does steal the show, and they fast track a sequel that Whedon is behind it. I would really hate for hulk to finally get the perfect film treatment, and then when we get a sequel someone else F&*%^ up what wasnt broken.

So what do people think is gonna stop the Hulk? Because as much as I'd like it to be, the Hulk can't be completely unstoppable, then we wouldn't need the rest of the team.

If I remember correctly Jeremy Renner said about his character Hawkeye in an interview that he would be the only one able to take down the Hulk. If you've seen the Japanese trailer he says "got him" and smirks, I have a feeling this is him about to take down the Hulk with either a tranq arrow or some kind of gas emitting arrow. I'm also quite interested in the Loki fight with Hulk, should be interesting enough.

Also bear in mind there will be an alien invasion. I imagine that sufficiently big artillery could eventually take him out; he's not categorically immune to harm, he's just very durable and heals fast. So if you assume, say, that those alien speeder bikes have the firepower of a tank gun+ in their blaster beams, then having a whole bunch of them strafe the Hulk repeatedly would be un-fun for him. Sure, he can smash them, but if he takes a half dozen hits for every one he manages to smash. . .

Hulk most likely won't be completely unstoppable in the film. But I am expecting him to be much more powerful than the 08 version.

I actually get the feeling he will be portrayed as unstoppable in this movie, he won't get alot of screen time so I think they'll focus on his strengths, not his weaknesses with the only way to stop him is to calm him down, his own movies can delth into how to stop him.

No one had better remind him of Betty to calm him down -.- that gets real old real fast.

Yeah, I have the impression things will more or less happen like you described.

I hope he calls the Black Widow Betty all the time.. and she's like "wtf? who the f is betty?"

"BEETTTYYYY"

He can't be too unstoppable though, because you don't want to turn him into a deux ex machina.

Well I mean unstoppable in the sense he can't be kept down, they might test him physically and mentally but IMO he'll just keep getting back up. He won't win the whole battle himself but he'll certainly keep the invading forces plenty busy while the other avengers work out how to stop the invasion.

Yeah I see what you mean, but you can pretty much say that for all of the Avengers because they'll keep getting back up as well.

Yeah, I was going to say that aswell but I feel the emphasis will be put on Hulk not staying down since that's kind of one of his things, he just comes back stronger :woot:.

Yeah, he should be the brawn, the rest should be the brains and tactical strength.

Hulk being the "brawn" kind of puts Thor in a tough spot, I guess his role on the team is pretty much up for grabs.

Hulk is the brawn, Thor is the power, IM is the technological master and Cap is the strategic thinker IMO.
