Yeah they NEVER allow Thor to use all of his powers when he fights Hulk, he just turns into a stupid version of himself that only uses melee attacks.

Or they make Thor his punching bag like that joke of a movie Hulk vs.

That was a rare exception though, most of the time Thor puts up a MUCH better fight than that joke of movie.

It's "I forgot I could fly" syndrome.

"You mean to tell me I can do other things besides slug it out with the Hulk, like fly, create tornadoes, and hurricanes on a world wide scale?"

As powerful as Hulk is , several opponents can beat him if they fight smart and use their powers effectively. Opponents like Thor,Silver Surfer, Gladiator come to mind.

The Silver Surfer complete cancel out hulk ability to become stronger since he just keeps draining the Hulk as the fight goes on. The battle is pretty much comes down to can the Hulk beat the Surfer before he complete taped out.

I still want to see Thor and Hulk trade punches, though I'm sure Hulk is going to get smaked in the face with Mjolnir. That's what I loved about the Hulk-Sentry fight- they beat the hell out of eachother until they both collapsed.

Ultimately at the end of the day, it's really whatever the writers or creative team wants.

Remember in a Punisher storyline he schooled Daredevil, Spider-Man, and Wolverine.

In World War Hulk, Hulk made basically the entire Marvel Universe his punching bag and the power levels or abilities of anyone else didn't matter.

I know Thor is gonna use Mjolnir quite a bit in their fight but I still want to see him trade punches with Hulk for a while to show his super strength.

I'd be satisfied with that since alot can happen in 2 minutes, plus it's longer than even the final battles in alot of superhero film.

Oh God, the three post TV series movies were bad. And Hulk did look horrible.

Yeah I'm not as concerned with the length of the Thor and Hulk fight than I am the scale and force of their blows.

In "Wrath of The Titans" there was a scene where Ares was punching a restrained Zeus and everytime he hit him there were shockwaves.

Thats crazy! Still gotta see that. We have seen that thor is very powerful in his solo film. And we've seen hulk do some awesome stuff in the trailers. So it should be pretty awesome. I mean come on, no matter what happens, its hulk vs thor.

I think if Hulk is the character everyone is talking about after the Avengers the Avengers will be a success. He is the ultimate dark horse, I think we kinda know what we are gonna get from everyone else.

Wrath of the Titans was a pretty awesome movie for what it was. I think there is a bigness too it that absolutely could be matched by a Thor.

If they put the attention to character detail of Thor and added the scope of Wrath you'd have a pretty awesome movie.

for better or worse Marvel essentially makes character movies....the downside to that is the scope of the movie tends to be a little smaller

Agreed on all counts, I love what Marvel has done so far but with The Avengers snd following films I hope they step the action & scope up a few notches.
