Noone other than Thor should be able to pick up his hammer. At least not until the Marvel Universe is a lot more mature. That's a trick/twist that should be saved for a very special occasion if at all.

Cap Vs Thanos would work for me
.

Hulk should be able to lift Mjolnir at "some" point in his strength threshold. I'm not saying he should do it in the movie....but with unlimited power he will either lift it eventually or destroy the planet it is on trying to (which would leave him and it floating in space where; coincidentally he "would" be able to lift it anyway).

Also, how badass is it that Hulk doesn't even flinch when taking those Jet fired rounds in the new tv spot! Nowhere near the TIH level of hands up guarding...dude "knows" he's unstoppable and doesn't car about "puny bullets"

It's not about strength, it's about worth.

How heroic is one worth to be able to lift it then? Thor def wasn't "worth" it in the beginning of his own movie yet he carried it around; an arrogant ass of man, a "greedy, cruel boy" i might say. Basically it seems only someone that Odin wants to wield it can; and so worth is only judged by the allfather.

True. He's the powerhouse!

Not unless its locked in space time :oldrazz: But that's not the case.

Hulk can only lift Mjölnir when his strength surpasses Odin's Will. So only when the Hulk is strong enough to beat Odin with strength alone will he be able to lift it. But the Hulk does looks cool as hell lifting it by force.

The cannon fire from that jet is 20mm. Vastly more powerful than the AR fire from TIH. Can't wait to see this film, sounds like a Hulk fans dream come true.

Hulk can still be "strongest one there is" physically and NOT lift Mjolnir

Magic type powers will always beat pure physical strength

That is why the most powerful characters are either magical or reality warping types

Hulk cannot lift Mjolnir because his physical strength is not greater than Odin's power.

If he was able to lift Mjolnir it would make his strength greater than Odin's magic and that should not be the case

Physically Hulk would be stronger than Thor and Odin, but because they have magical knowledge as well, they are both more powerful overall

Thor is strongest Asgardian, but Odin is the most powerful because he can use his extensive knowledge of magic and Odin force to become "stronger"

At the beginning of the Thor movie (when Thor was still arrogant), there wasn't a worthiness enchantment on the hammer.

The hammer was enchanted by Odin after the fight scene with the frost giants on Jotunheim.

bingo. this is correct.

That worthiness thing is a bit tricky to me, because I feel like most of these heroes kind of prove themselves just as "worthy" as Thor at some point.

Asgardians have there own Value system and most heroes don't fit it. The worthy are only the ones fit the replace Odin him self. Beta was charged with over seeing and protecting his people from harm. He had to have a certain temperament to do that. Some one who puts duty before there personal persuasions. Someone who is brave and fearless and only thinks about the well being of others. They all so have to be a warrior through and through.

I remember when I first heard that Hulk was actually going to be a hero in this rather than an enemy, I desperately hoped for there to be a moment where Hulk and Thor fought off an alien horde back to back like the pair of bad ass allies that they are.
I was pleasantly surprised that we got such a scene

Indeed, he got the biggest and best reaction.

the big one from hulk definitely got the biggest reaction in my cinema

i was still laughing well into the next scene, even though i had already seen it twice before and i could hear a few others doing the same

The Hammer was created for Thor, so it only seems right that he would be able to wield it after proving himself. The Hulk shouldn't be allowed to lift it because although he can be heroic, he's a creature of pure destruction. Hulk might be the strongest there is, but that doesn't matter at all when trying to lift Mjolnir.

Watched the movie twice and hulk was awesome non stop smashing my childhood dream fourfilled and about Hulk vs Thor in the movie

Hulk was about to lift Mjolnir which gave Thor enough distraction to barge into him headon so movie didn't show hulk lifting it above the ground
