It depends on what kind of reaction you're talking about. There's a zillion different kinds in Science. Fusion reactions are very specific.

If some little particle was all it took to turn the experiment into a danger that could destroy the city, then it was hardly worth the gamble or all that money Oscorp invested, was it? It made more sense that Octavius' calculations were just off.

Would have worked his experiment accidentally at second attempt, who knows. Doesn't mean it wasn't idiotic and to much a risk in the first place. I think I could be possible. And after that he'll certainly blow up NY with his next project :o...

He repeated the same experiment with the same materials and same calculations. In this case, it's what you call an exact science. If you don't change your variables then there's no reason for it not to work. The only difference was he increased the size of the reactor.

That's why it would have made no sense for it to fail the first time and work the second time, unless he changed something about the experiment. But the whole point was that Ock believed he had got it right and it worked, that's why he wanted to rebuild it.

I have the urge...to get some banana popsicles and get some gas since I'm on empty

I remember feeling SO ****ing excited on May 3rd, 2002 when I saw/heard this. The feeling I got at 1:53 when it shows his back and pans up to show him lift his head was incredible. I was just in absolute joy the entire time.

Even if the reboot was shaping up to be good, it couldn't top that because it's just not the FIRST big Spidey movie.

That's being a bit biased, don't you think? I mean, yes, it won't be the first Spider-Man movie, but did less people enjoy Batman Begins because it wasn't the first major Batman film? And I doubt less people will be excited over Man of Steel because it wasn't the first Superman movie. Granted, those two have had many years in-between the first and reboot, but to say it couldn't top just because it's not the first borderlines biased opinions.

Sure, the first movie has much credit to its name, but I think the reboot will give a fresh and a new take that was definitely wanted after Spider-Man 3.

I also believe, though, that the first movie will, down the line, become more important than Spider-Man 2 and become Superman: The Movie and '89 Batman to its own line of films. But that still doesn't mean it won't be as less exciting or credible as BB can sometimes overshadow '89 Batman.

I'm saying for myself. I don't care how others feel and react to it. It's the first time Spidey was on the big screen. That first time feeling cannot be topped for me.

Yeah, the amount of excitement and nostalgia I had felt for Spidey 1,2 and even 3(although I was really out of the loop on that one) isn't likely to ever be felt again. I miss being younger. :p

Here's some of my collection. Of course, Spidey wise, this isn't even a fraction of it lol. I also have a few other statues from Spider-Man 3 not pictured, but maybe I will upload them another day. It almost looks like I'm strictly a Spider-Man 3 fan lol, but honestly, if I found statues/busts of Goblin and Ock, I'd have them too.

Very awesome!! I remember everyone of those Venom statues, too. Good times.

Thanks. ^_^ You can actually see the arm to one of them not pictured fully on the very left side of the first pic lol. Oops.

So you did like The Dark Knight!

Hahaha, so many Spidey fanboys always diss Nolan's Bat films, but I'm glad there is still hope out there

Please. :D
I still prefer Batman and Batman Returns honestly, but yeah I like the new ones too. I have the Movie Masters Batman, Joker, Scarecrow, and Two-Face in another area of my room haha. I also bought the Two-Face bobblehead from TDK (Two-Face is my favorite villain).
Other than that, my collection is a lot of Spider-Man/Marvel, and other movie related things (Terminator, Freddy Krueger, other horror stuff).

I LOVE this statue more than any of the Venom statues I've seen before and I've never see this except now.

Yeah that statue wasn't really well marketed? I remember seeing it once before SM3 came out on the internet, but it's like they never came out with it lol. I don't see them much on ebay.
