Speaking of Sinister Six, as I said, I would have loved to have seen it happen in Spider-Man 6. Granted, it would probably involve some of the Villains that weren't originally part of the Six, but I trust in Raimi.

I wouldn't mind some roster changes. For example, power players like Scorpion or Rhino might be welcome additions to the roster.

The door was always left open for a possible return of Doc Ock.

Thank God the proposed Venom spinoff fell through. Venom as the Lethal Protector was already a bad idea in the comics.

Oh, I agree...reason while been suggesting forever, to re-invent him, giving him a more real motivation and mature reason for existing.

I think it could've worked if directed well.

He's fine as he is in the comics, in my opinion. The dynamic between Spider-Man and Venom has far outgrown its lackluster initial reasons for being, just as it is with Green Goblin and his similarly poor motivations for existing.

There is no way a Venom spin-off could work is if he is the hero of the film. That's not what he is. He's a psychopathic killer, not a lethal protector of the innocent.

We will have to agree to disagree on that. ^

A Venom spinoff would've only worked if Venom took on Carnage and instead of Venom being the "good guy," they both were evil. But with Venom maybe being the lesser of two evils. Kinda like with Jason in Freddy vs. Jason. I've always disliked Venom as the "hero."
What I'd like is for Venom to appear in this new series and be a main villain against Spidey, live and then get his own spinoff against Carnage.

TAS is the definitive venom for me. (much like TAS Mr Freeze)

who was the lesser evil in that movie?

Plus we saw him ash. So they would have either come up with some lame excuse to resurrect him or we would have gotten VINO.

Found this on the Goblin thread.

This part I agree with.

I'm sorry, but I don't really care to see Venom vs Carnage. Carnage is a redundant character who never should have been created until Venom was dead or out of the picture indefinitely.

The Spectacular Spider-Man Venom might be it for me.

True.

Very true, though, a Venom spin-off could have worked if it involved Carnage.

Carnage is a redundant character designed to replace Venom as the symbiotic Spider-Man villain. Furthermore, the special effects to portray him as I think fans want to see him would be insanely expensive.

Carnage cannot be done in a PG-13.

He could. After all, while he is about mass murder, his killings do not have to show a lot of onscreen gore.

This part I agree with.

Good to see people agree with me!
