What about his leg that he could barely walk even less jump?? It is such a missed opportunity for a exoskeleton like Dark Knight Returns, Kingdom Come or Batman Beyond.
I think Americans should be offended by how crime filled Gotham was. Seriously, do those crazy British directors think every American city is like that?

I just did not like the concept of the prison and felt offended. It was very prejudiced to image a prison in a foreign country run by villains, imo, or no government interaction or anything. This is 2012 not 1800. It is a very narrow view of the world. I expected more from Nolan.
Moreover, i think they missed a chance for showing Bruce in need of an exoskeleton for the final Battle, just like he does in Kingdom Come and other Batman comics. They simply ignored his injuries like nothing happened. All he did was have a few push-ups and say "oh im angry"... The concept of his body failing him which was the main theme of the movie was completely ignored.
I actually thought Amazing Spider-man was much better than this. At least the flaws didn't bothered me as much. I'm more of a Batman fan so this hurts more. Still, it is just a movie. It is not the end of the world and we all have different opinions. You my friend need to see this movie again, or go watch spiderman lol jst/kdng.
He had the power knee on remember. He could kick threw brick. I'm surprised he didn't just scale the pit and jump right out like John Carter lol jst/kdng.
I'm not offended.
I live in the Bay Area and I can tell you Gotham isn't too far off on its portrayal of a rotting American city.
@Voyeur Joke or not there are plenty of American cities that are polluted with criminal filth. Nolan isn't depicting something that's completely false. Obviously it's a heightened hyper reality but I'm glad he's showing that cities here have as much if not more problems than some other cities in the world.
I've lived in Oakland and Berkeley my entire life and have gone to their public schools so no offense but I'm a lot more familiar with the reality of the situation than someone visiting. Sure not all of it's bad but you're kidding yourself if you think it's all dandelions and sunshine.Hey now, I've got many a friend in SF, Alameda, San Mateo and Sonoma, and from what I've experienced the Bay Area is a lovely place.

Not to long ago on my way home from The Avengers a drunken moron pulled out a knife on me while I was on the bus. Completely unprovoked attack on me because he had fallen earlier for swaying back and forth due to his own intoxication.
Before that my car was stolen from a "secure" parking lot while I was working. I had to quit that job because my family didn't think it was safe. They were right it wasn't a safe area and I had late hours.
That isn't the shining example of a lovely place. Having 100+ murders a year in Oakland alone shows there are some serious problems here. An ever worsening pandemic of criminal behavior.
I'm not offended.

I've said this elsewhere but I'll say it again. 10/10. Best of the trilogy. Best Nolan film PERIOD.
As far as I know Bruce may have still had that leg brace thing on...it was dug in pretty good as I recall. And we know they "fixed" his back, so the injuries took a back seat to escaping the pit in Bruce's mind.
There's no doubt TDKR has some plot holes. It's especially difficult to fill the holes of a superhero film.
