fassbender and cooper huh...not bad. I don't have much faith in CBM tho.

The article being taken down may be a sign it's genuine?

Mila Kunis for Lois would be an interesting choice, I mentioned her a while back on the other casting thread. Very attractive girl, but subtle beauty and not model-type 'in your face' look ...... and the right age range too.

Fassbender as Lex? Full of WIN. He's an amazing actor and really captivates you when he's on screen. He was good in 300, but I loved him in Inglorious Basterds.

Chris Cooper is a good actor, but not sure I can picture him as Perry. Might work.

Never heard of Paul Dano before, but he's definitely got a 'Jimmy' look about him.

They do that alot..post something then take it down..gets you talking about them and visiting their site. I'm not saying it's fake, but i'd have to hear it from some other more reliable sites before I believed it.

The cast sounds pretty good , which tells me that the story is most likely B.S. since that site is known for printing false rumors.

Their "policy" is if an article has made-up info, it's pulled. So no, that doesn't mean it's legit.

Very true. There are times when articles are posted and pulled(Early Green Lantern Corp images) due to being legitimate as well, but that is few and far between.

I have to share this information. Last night I was watching an E! Golden Globes post-show and they interviewed Joe Manganiello. Joe talked about how he and Armie Hammer are best friends (Joe even stayed over at Armie's house during Christmas this past year.). Anyway, i just thought it was interesting that two of the most discussed Superman candidates on here are so close. If Hammer gets the role, which Manganiello seems to want so badly, I wonder if will be awkward between them lol.

I just saw the Social Network and Armie Hammer would be a great choice for the role!

Lol, they should then use Armie and his face, and CG it onto Manganiello's body for the Superman scenes.

Like a comic artist book Jam project. :oldrazz:

If you took the best traits of both actors and combined them, ie Hammer's nose and eye color, Joe's Jawline and Body, Hammer's Acting Talent and voice etc.. take the best aspects of both and you got a Perfect Superman actor. :woot:

They are both 6'5" too.

It expired before Snyder was brought on board.

Even better. And you think Snyder is going to fight against the studio that let that expire to hire him again? He's not getting this. His chance expired with that contract.

The contract is a moot point.

Even if it didn't expire, the contract itself was for Bryan Singer's SR and potential sequels.

A new contract specifically pertaining to the upcoming 2012 film and the options associated with it would have needed to be drafted regardless.

Michael Fassbender is a great actor, and I was considering him for numerous roles, but I figured with him playing Magneto he'd now be out of the running. If not, though, he'd make an amazing Lex Luthor.

Fassbender could make a great left field choice for Supes himself.

Fassbender's going to make a great Magneto.

(Which won't be any easy task for any actor to follow-up Sir Ian McKellan.)

Even the Spider-Man franchise was after him last year to play the villain in the reboot (presumably The Lizard).

Nothing about his face in that image screams Man of Steel to me. Rounded jaw and chin... no sharp features. As much as I like Armie, I don't see him as Superman.

It amazes me people still hang onto the hope that Routh could be cast again. He is not going to be and no, I am not revealing how I know that, but I will wager every penny I have on it. :cwink:

Yeah, as much as I like Routh and how he's still not out of the running, the odds are not in his favor.

If anything I think Hammer looks too nice, not to mention too tall. I'm hoping that they go with a more intense Superman and a modern Clark. If Clark is traversing the globe, witnessing peril, and struggling with his identity, I don't want him walking around with a grin on his face. Not saying he can't smile but I want a more Caviezel type.

You know, Armie Hammer can change his facial expressions. It's sort of key to being an actor.

Expressions are changeable yes, but facial feature aren't; at least not without plastic surgery.

I was addressing the point that he didn't want Hammer smiling during dramatic moments. As for his facial features, I don't think there is anything wrong with them. He just needs to get leaner.

wait so we got an actor who looks too nice for superman lol

i think that is a plus not a negative
