Had a quick look and it was Mike Deodato which gets a major from me! Love his work! And you're right, the style is very 90's but that's right up my street!

i've been on such a huge wonder woman kick lately. i've always been into the character, but something connected in my head and now i really love the character. i just finished reading the complete histoy of wonder woman by les daniels, great book. its a shame the current books arent doing her justice. i need to go back and buy more of her TPB's. i already have all of perez's collected run. i need to get the books following that, even though they seem to be out of print. i have everything from rucka on. i also wanna go all the way back and get the marston collections. for those, is it better to go with archives or chronicles?

Your girlfriend made it for you?! Even MORE brave! If I let my boyfriend make a costume for me, I think he'd think his dream had come true. It would probably end up being some porno, fantasised version of a superhero costume with nipple tassles.

Well, unfortunately, you don't have much of a choice with the Marston material. There's only been a single volume of Chronicles for Wonder Woman, and as far to my knowledge, there's not been any indication of more. You'll have to get the archives past the first volume. The problem with that is, that for some odd reason, DC only released those to let them go out of print with the next volume (and I think I read they were discontinuing the archives, so even the latest volume may not be in print right now). That makes them harder to find, and it's even harder to find solid deals for them.

A nice Omnibus or something, yeah, I would buy that. You kind of have to put on your 1940s glasses for those stories (as you do for most GA material for every character), but those are some really fun stories. I think you may even argue they were ahead of their time a bit, since they remind me more of SA stories than other GA ones I've read.

I have to say that while I don't love it, it is sooooooo much better now with pants that don't look like vinyl and red boots.

The only significant change is the pants and boots, really. It's made out of some other material, I believe, and has been darkened. I still feel the same about it as I did before; I like it overall. I like how they haven't darkened the whole suit like some wanted, and it still has that pop-superhero feel that distinguishes it from other costume adaptations.

They did it with all of them, I think. They would release one volume, then let it go out of print with the next volume. It just seemed so odd, but DC's trade department is a puzzle.

thats a pretty nice collection up there.

i just bought "wonder woman: the contest" for 14 bucks off ebay, which isnt too bad. it seems like the out of print book thats REALLY pricey is challenge of artemis. if anyone knows where to find that one for a good price, let me know.
