The Rebooted "Keep Hope Alive" (that the rights can revert back to Marvel) Thread - - - - Part 13

At that point, I don't think we need to worry about those details derailing what we want.

Sure, the justice department may have a problem with some TV channels, for example, and in that case the deal might be altered slightly, but once they agree in principle, it will either be the deal in full or a slightly scaled-back deal to make concessions.

The justice department will approve the FOX-Disney deal in its entirety.....provided the Fantastic Four and X-Men live action rights are sold to a third party.

Not funny!!! -_-

I hope, I hope, I hope...

Damn it, I'm starting to get excited now.:chd:

Keep the heart meds handy, if you take them. Until OLAS Fiege comes out and says they are "homeward bound" it will be a rollercoaster of high expectations and sudden drop-offs.

Then again, anyone checked on the Marvel official sites to see if they have some thing scheduled before a certain jolly fat man gets stuck in my existential chimney?

There is this quote from Firefly that brings to mind...
You are going to the Special Hell for that thought. You know that, right?

I want Disney to have Firefly as well.

Was that supposed to be a joke?

They would if the deal goes through?
Yes, from what I understand. Fox owned the Firefly TV rights before so I assume they still own them now, so if Fox is selling stuff, Disney has a chance to own Firefly, if they want anyways.

I hope we get an announcement early next year no matter what happens.

It said that Murdoch wants to finalise everything by the end of the year. But he ought to do it before Christmas and have that time off. Who wants to be negotiating during the holiday period?

Announce it on Christmas Day as a Marvel Christmas present to fans.

I hope Dark Phoenix is shelved. There's no point in releasing that film if the deal is made very soon.

Now if only Marvel could acquire all of the Spidey verse too. Then they could prevent all these unconnected spin-offs from happening like Venom or Silver and Black.

Christmas eve, let Deadpool do it, as part of the 12 days of Deadpool, then declare, "I just realized SpideyPool is possible, I need to change my pants."

I wonder what the new FF theme would be?

It would be neat if they did that like the Marvel Studios logo for Homecoming which featured the 1960s Spider-Man theme.

It's a shame they can't feature Spider-Man in that intro sequence.

They'll need to do a new one soon though to include the FF and the X-Men. They need a new one for the 10th anniversary of the MCU. They need the FF and X-Men back for the 10th anniversary too.

They just better not wait until the actual 10th anniversary to announce it, otherwise we'll be waiting until May.

I could've sworn I saw Spidey brandishing Cap's shield from Civil War during the intro animation?

Well, it's all here, the same as it has been since Dr Strange except for the music. No Spidey in the intro.

That's just a fan made one. Spider-Man with Cap's shield was used in the Homecoming intro

What the actual **** are you talking about?

The way the X-fans acted in the old FFINO forum and in earlier threads. They have been trolling FF fans for years. You can pretend you don't know about it but we remember.

Now most have them have been banned or crawled back under their rocks. Who's next I wonder?

You're right. Here is the official one.

Why are you bringing them up suddenly? Have they done something recently?

Because the complaint & assumption the X-Men would get short shrift struck me as humorous & ironic given past events.

I wouldn't wish Fant4stic on anyone, but as an FF fan, it's hard to feel sorry for anyone (and I'm not talking about Jaymes) who is upset about a potential deal because they think the quality and/or quantity of X-Men films might suffer.
