We need Chris Evans, Michael B. Jordan, and the new Human Torc in the same scene.

Can't see MBJ ever being in the same scene unless he becomes a much bigger character who features in other movies like Loki.

That much older? It'd only be 3-4 years and I think it makes sense
Yes, it is a big difference. The younger you go, the more it matters. Peter will be 16 in 2019. The difference between someone who is 16 and someone 4 years older is pretty significant. Johnny would be a 20 year old man.

How does it make sense? Johnny has always been the same age as Parker. What reason would they have for changing it? It makes more sense than ever for these two to be the same age since Feige will surely want Torch/Spidey crossovers. He could even be a supporting character in future Spidey films. These two regularly teamed up in the Ultimates & even went to the same High-School at one point.

20 years old is still a boy. And if Johnny is particularly immature (which he usually is) he would seem very much still like a boy.

Not only in the Ultimates. They were friend in the real comics too
Yes, they even had their own team up miniseries in the 616 universe. He regularly encountered Johnny in the mainstream series going all the way back to the 1960s Lee/Ditko run when they were both in HS. As a matter of fact, Is it just me or has Spidey hung out with the FF more than any other group? I always seem to remember him going to the Baxter Building. Whether it was to steal a uniform cause of his shredded costume (Bombastic Bag man) or to ask them for help when Venom threatened Aunt May? I actually think Johhny and Peter went to the Island Brock was on together to ask him for help against Carnage.

It's not just you. Spidey and the FF have a lot of history. The whole 'Spidey wants to be an Avenger'-stuff from HC was lifted from the 'Spidey wants to join the FF'-stuff from the comics

Dylan O'Brien would have been great 5 years but he's too old now too. Johnny is Peter Parker's age so whoever they cast needs to be the age of the kids in Homecoming
I'm worried about the interaction between Ben and Johnny if he is too young, and Ben closer to Reed's age (if we are going with late 30s Reed)

Yeah, if Johnny is too young and Ben is much older, it could just seem abusive. And no-one wants to see that. They would tell Ben to let it go and stop putting himself down on the same level as a kid. And if Ben had any sense he would too.

But if Johnny were older, then it's two adults ribbing each other. When it's a man threatening to clobber a child for a prank, that would just look wrong.

And that's why I say it's more important to get the proper dynamic between Johnny and Ben than between Johnny and Peter.

'While Fox execs have remained coy about the deal prospects, the combination could be announced in a matter of days, Deadline continues to hear.'

Jesus I'm so ready for this

If they get the rights soon enough, maybe we can get a pre-powered teen Johnny in Spider-Man who would be 20ish by the time they become the FF.

It's no different than an older brother getting sick of his younger brother's pranks. There's nothing wrong with an adult getting very annoyed at a teenager. And besides Johnny was a teen when he was messing with Ben. Do you you think it was abusive in the comics as well? Johnny Torch team ups need to happen in the MCU & they need to not be awkward. A 20 year old hanging out with a 16 year old as best buddies would be seen as weird, unless they turn it into a big brother/little brother dynamic.

But I'd rather they just stick to the comics.

Party time is just round the corner! Time to go shopping for supplies. ;)

Maybe we will see Spider Man joining FF in the Future Foundation storyline in a future movie.

Please change days to hours.

Chris seems pretty sure about this. Maybe they didn't jump the gun and know something. It seems to me if they are talking about an announcement in a matter of days, maybe the deal is done. That doesn't sound that far fetched to me.

The main thing I want to see is when it takes effect. That will tell us a lot about whether we may get some teases/cameos in anything for 2019.

I think 2020 at the earliest and it'll probably be something in Guardians 3

If it doesn't go into effect until sometime mid-late next year, yeah I would agree. But, if these talks started sometime before we knew and go into effect toward beginning of the year, possible it can still be worked in or was in the process of being worked in. I selfishly hope so, lol.

I am def thinking the Silver Surfer and/or Galactus are going to be mentioned at least in Guardians 3.
