Whoever plays Ben Grimm needs to be very witty and have the gift of the gab. We don't want him being a mopey and morose sad sack like Jamie Bell who is still feeling the effects of the abuse from his older brother who kept shouting "it's clobbering time!"

I want someone with very typical Jewish humour this time round. Preferably someone Jewish to begin with, and a comedian, as it might come more natural to him.

He needs to be as humorous as Starlord or Tony Stark.

I think Tom Holland failed in that regard with the Spider-Man humour. Hopefully they'll step it up for Grimm.

Also, I don't think they can't make Johnny Storm quite the same age as Peter. If he's that young, then the dynamic between Johnny and Ben won't be quite right either. And it's more important that they get those two right than Johnny and Peter.

Someone mentioned Seth Rogen and after being against it initially, I can totally see it work. Give him blue contact lenses, shave him, and change his stoner attitude for the franchise and he might be a decent Ben Grimm.
Dan Fogler is another one I could see in that role, if he's not too busy finding fantastic beasts

They could still release stand-alone X-Men franchises like Deadpool, New Mutants, and X-Force under the 20th Century Fox banner (like how Disney used to release movies under the Touchstone banner), while using the main group in the MCU films.

Disney acquiring 20th Century Fox doesn't necessarily mean the death of films like Deadpool and New Mutants. They just wouldn't be released as Disney/Marvel Studios titles.

Exactly, and while those characters may reference the MCU, I doubt we would ever see Deadpool in an Avengers film or X-Force in a X-Men film. They'd be in their own little corner more than likely, similar to where the TV Shows and Netflix characters are.

Bingo.

You can even have Deadpool ***** and moan about it.

I'm not sure if the New Mutants have ever really interacted with other comic characters that much anyway.

And Deadpool can easily be its own little thing.

But I wouldn't mind if they took Colossus from there. He was done far better than in any of the X-Men films. This is the way to go with him in the MCU. Make him motion capture rather than how he was done by Singer.

Yvonne Strahovski, the perfect Sue Storm.

She's too old. Dylan O'Brien would have been great 5 years but he's too old now too. Johnny is Peter Parker's age so whoever they cast needs to be the age of the kids in Homecoming

Anyway, gotta to work. Catch everybody later.

Making Johnny a teen wouldn't change the dynamic as Ben can be pretty childish. Johnny is like the annoying kid brother to Ben and being the same age as Spider-man would fit that.

The only thing I'm worried about is how they would do Sue. They need to balance her, as Hollywood loves to go into the nagging and humorless territory with mother figures. I'd say give her a sarcastic wit and be just as fun as the others. She should keep the others in line, but not be a killjoy.

Well said, and I think the key word is balance. The other characters are extremes. She has elements of all of them but in a healthy, balanced package.

She's the glue that holds the team together, she should be smart, funny, patient, mature, logical and level-headed.

The other characters are polar with extreme strengths on one side and corresponding weaknesses on the other sides.

Sue doesn't have those extremes. She's balanced and strong in all areas.

Jessica Alba was too much of an eye-roller. She was too reactive and they used her to point out the others childishness. We don't need to have their childishness pointed out. We can see it for ourselves. A good mother doesn't get annoyed when her children act childish. She is patient and nurturing and works with them rather than feeling she's better than them.

:funny: We need to have him as Captain America in an FF film at some point. Even if it's just a cameo.
Cap (to Johnny): "Look, kid, I've been where you have. I know, it's not pretty, but it was an experience that made me stronger."

I've thought about Seth Rogen or David Harbour. I'd prefer Johnny to be about college aged and a bit older than Peter.

Spot on. Deadpool wouldn't show up in an Avengers film, but he'd be slightly more connected then he already is. I wouldn't even be against the Tatum/Gambit movie happening.

I want a scene with Cap, the new Human Torch, and some other characters interacting. Deadpool will be the one looking at Cap and Human Torch confused and make a smart comment about it.

When has Johnny ever been that much older than Peter though? What would be the point of that change?

I hope Chris Evans sticks around after Infinity War part 2/Avengers 4. Would love to see a Cap/Wolverine team up.

We need Chris Evans, Michael B. Jordan, and the new Human Torc in the same scene.

That much older? It'd only be 3-4 years and I think it makes sense

Bingo.

You can even have Deadpool ***** and moan about it.

He's the perfect vessel for them to comment on (and indirectly explain) the situation.
