Need this to happen.

I know he’s Orm in Aquaman but still:woot:

He could work. He's played his share of villains though. I don't know if he seems heroic enough for Reed.

Wasn't he meant to be in Ant-Man at one point? What happened to his role?

How about Tom Cavanagh as Doom?

He could probably play Reed as well, and play him very well, but he'd make an intimidating Doom.

I want him (Patrick) for Reed. His age is the thing that makes me apprehensive but if they casted him, you'd hear no complaints from me.

I've got your Doctor Doom right here.

Mikael Persbrandt

I know he's on the older side, but if he's going to be wearing a mask the entire time that doesn't particularly matter. I'm telling you, he'd absolutely crush it. His voice alone is pitch perfect.

Remember whoever they go for they will want them good for the part for around 10 years (hopefully more if they get it right). So I'd look at early to mid 30s for Reed & Ben, early to mid 20's for Sue & Johnny. Preferably younger for Johnny really.

They could get Patrick J. Adams, although I still believe he looks too young for Reed.

I really like Ruffalo, but I've often thought Tom Cavanagh would have made a great Bruce Banner.

I think Zac Efron could make a good Human Torch, wouldn’t be surprised if they looked at someone closer in age to Holland though

I'm just happy any of these options can be a reality, and we won't have to think about "the rights".

Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things.

Anyone going to crucify me if I suggest Seth Rogen as The Thing?

Zac Efron doesn't look like a boy anymore. And with him so jacked up now, he looks like he should be playing an adult superhero. I don't think he'd work as Torch at all now. Maybe a few years ago. He's even looking just a few years short of being Reed Richards. Still too young though.

Well how old is Holland supposed to be in Spider-man 2? I mean we know he is supposed to be in High School, but I hope he is playing like a Senior by then making him most likely 18 and I could see Johnny Storm playing an 18 to 20 year old in phase 4. I think an older teenager young adult would serve Johnny better then a young teenager. Young teenagers tend to be awkward because they are still going through puberty and Johnny is very sure of himself which I think is something that develops more in older teens or young adults. Don't get me wrong there are always exceptions, but as a general rule that is how I see it.

Surfer

Another one I never want to hear being fancast ever again: Ryan Gosling.

Yeesh. It's like people want Marvel to have their own Affleck. An actor looking like they want to jump after two movies. Gosling is not a franchise man.

Seth Rogen could work, and he already kind of looks like the Thing

If you imagine his face as a rocky version, he has that sort of benevolent and sympathetic face that the Thing has.

The Thing still needs to be a bit teddy bear-like and not just a monstrous-looking rock creature like he was portrayed in Fant4stic. Even the Story movies didn't have Grimm with the right face. He has to look very soulful and heroic and approachable. Not just tough.

Ben Grimm is the real soul of the FF and maybe even of the Marvel universe.

Plus Rogen is of Jewish background, which is a big plus.

Yeah, I could see it if they use CGI like they do for the Hulk, where you can really see Ruffalo in there. I just don't want them to do practical effects for the Thing. He is too big of a character for practical effects to feel right.

Also I'm pretty sure they won't need to give Rogen blue contacts, because it's not like Ruffalo wears green contacts. It will just automatically be the right colour after the mo-cap.

They should definitely go with the classic Thing design:

Really hated Ben's look in the 2015 film. He looked like tree bark

okay, I guess we all agree on Seth Rogen at this point.
Funny, 5 years ago, that name would've caused a huge negative nerdrage if mentioned in a CBM casting thread. How things change

He would be a bit more of an unconventional choice, but I've thought for awhile that John Krasinski would be an interesting choice for Reed. He was almost cast as Cap before Evans was, plus he was considered for Starlord as well. If they are aiming for bigger name, then I like the Levitt or Gosling suggestion. But I would agree that Levitt strikes me as the better bet as far as being willing to stick around longer between those two.

I like the Lilly James suggestion for Sue.

I would also want them to cast someone close to Holland's age for Johnny. I wouldn't mind seeing Charlie Rowe considered. I think he's a promising actor, and he was the runner up for Spider-Man.

Seth Rogen has also been my unorthodox choice for the Thing. Plus, he has good chemistry with Joseph Gordon Levitt, so I think they could sell Reed and Ben being old friends if they were both actually cast. If not him, then I think Joel Edgerton would probably be my safe choice.
