Next time, please just provide a link to Rick Astley singing Never Gonna Give You Up.TCI Fund Management Ltd, a large Twenty-First Century Fox Inc (FOXA.O) shareholder, has urged Fox executive chairman Rupert Murdoch to give Comcast Corp (CMCSA.O) a chance to top Walt Disney Cos (DIS.N) $71 billion offer to buy most of Foxs assets, according to a letter reviewed by Reuters.
The hedge fund, run by Sir Christopher Hohn, owns 7.4 percent of Fox shares and said he disagreed with Foxs view that Comcasts bid would come with higher regulatory risk. TCI is strongly motivated to support whichever deal came at a higher price.
Looking at the Thing from Fan4stic always makes me hungry since he looked like Kentucky Fried Chicken.
I wonder what will happen to the Simpsons themed attractions at Universal Studios? I visit the one in Universal City a few times a year and the Duff Beer Garden is where I end up spending a lot of time cooling down.

Any word on Disney's vote?July 27th is when Fox shareholders will vote on it

It looks like the Board has made up its mind and wants to take advantage of the clearance and get this down ASAP. I'd wager whatever Comcast bids, they'll only get the same response. What's crazy about this is I don't hear Comcast saying they need time or that they're going to bid again. If Comcast says they're preparing a bid, okay, let's see what they've got, but in the absence of a bid or at the very least a clear indication that they're preparing a bid, what's Fox supposed to wait for?

Disney shareholders also voting on the 27th.

Maybe Comcast will bid on July 26th.![]()
Comcast has 2, maybe 3 weeks before things get too tight for comfort. Still better than the week and half they would have had if Dis/Fox kept the original voting date.
Well we don't know if this July 27th date is going to remain or if it will be postponed once again closer to the time.
Also my birthdayJuly 27th is when Fox shareholders will vote on it

Let's assume for a moment that Comcast doesn't make another offer prior to the 27th and both Disney and Fox approve of the deal: What happens then and what type of timetable are we looking at?
I posted this in the other X-Men thread

Several steps still to go before the acquisition is completed as ADollar has pointed out. Foreign regulators etc. - there is no shareholder meeting scheduled as yet.
But that's out of date already.
