How will MCU only fans accept the X-MEN & FF? It's kinda to the point where alot treat them as non marvel characters at this point.

Will they be received with open arms? Or will they be looked at as taking precious film dates away from their MCU favorites?

And then on the flip side you had people like HarryOscorp who got banned because he hated MCU Spider-Man so much.

I can see alot of FOXMEN fans not long for these boards. It'll be tense around here.

I subscribe to the theory of can't beat em.. join em. So I'm with the MCU hype train

No, it's not. I have no idea how you got that impression. I assure you most MCU fans would be ecstatic with the MCU being complete like the comics.

Since the beginning, Feige has had a (very wise IMO) strategy of constantly injecting fresh characters. I don't see anyone saying "Damn it, we don't need Captain Marvel crapping up our little world."

The MCU is characterized by it's constant expansion, and that has set it apart from Sony and Fox who had been telling the same stories with the same characters until they grew stale.

I think the real problem would have been if Feige hadn't gotten the new characters and would have been forced to use the same ones and/or keep bringing in new but minor characters who audiences weren't interested in.

And as for Foxmen fans, I can see them complaining right up until they see their characters finally done right and realize those characters hadn't been living up to their potential all this time.

Well, there was a lot of denial about the X-films being reboot3d when the deal was announced. Many, even the actress who played Storm - did not want to believe that the Fox continuity would be discontinued once Feige gained control

Well just like the people on the Titanic, she didn't realise she was on a sinking ship.

Even if Marvel gets the Fox characters the MCU won’t really be ‘complete’. There’s still the issue of Namor that hasn’t been resolved, and Spider-Man while he’s in the MCU still isn’t owned by Marvel which often has to follow Sony’s guidelines. Personally I’m of the belief the MCU only needs the First Family to be ‘complete’—I can sort of take or leave X-Men. I’d be fine with X-Men staying out of the MCU and being within their own pocket universe since I feel the Mutants by themselves could carry a whole other cinematic universe but I can’t lie it is nice to have the Mutants even if I don’t think they’re a must-get for the MCU like the Fantastic Four are though I will say this...

The Fantastic Four are more important to Marvel than the X-Men are.

There I said it.

Aside from Singer and Kinberg, she's another who won't be missed. Didn't Tye Sheridan also say something like "F the MCU" at one point not too long ago?

Only 3 months ago he slammed the MCU for being "too samey"

Which is ironic because DP being a melodramatic, grounded drama is the same thing we've been getting from Fox since 2000. They're constantly telling the same story with Magneto. Sheridan is seriously projecting here

Maybe he can star in Teen Titans. :o

Oh wow, he really SLAMMED it. Oh man, you hit the nail on the head. Let's be real, he could've been talking about X-Men Apocalypse just as much as he was Age of Ultron. He didn't say MCU, he said all the old Marvel universes and all. He described them as looking the same, as in visually - which was once a fair criticism. Lets face it, I really doubt he'd openly criticize the MCU when he'd probably love to be a part of it.

Speaking about Titans I’m excited about the new movie coming out this week. Going to bring the kids to it. Looks like fun.

It’s just a shame the MCU is going to replace him soon. :sly:

It will be complete. Namor is just one character and Spider-man is in the MCU. Do you think fans care who owns the right or who appears in the MCU? Which one? peoopl's dream all those years was Spidde to appear in the MCU. it happened.

Totally projecting. He sooo won't be missed.

LOL. He can be Jason Todd with the other potty mouths.

King of Atlantis regardless, Namor isn't a human or an Atlantean, he's a mutant, just stick him in the X-Men movie.

It's pretty obvious which "Marvel movies" he was talking about as them all being the same. And why would he criticize a movie that he himself starred in is a better question?

He was talking about the MCU in reference to Dark Phoenix pushing the envelope

All Marvel Studios has to do is make a more intelligent film than First Class or Logan. Will they do it? Homecoming was so shallow compared to Raimi's Spider-Man 1&2, being salvaged by Keaton.

No it wasn't, you just want it to seem that way. Why would he criticize Apocalypse? Same reason Singer and Kinberg themselves criticized it.

Only Fox project that really hurts is New Mutants. Something about that trailer was really intriguing. But they probably would've fudged those characters too.

And Boone has been awfully quiet.

https://seekingalpha.com/news/3373558-report-2-fox-holder-signs-disney-asset-deal?dr=1

The No. 2 shareholder at Twenty-First Century Fox (FOX -1.1%, FOXA -1.2%) has voted in favor of selling the company's entertainment assets to Walt Disney (DIS -0.7%), Bloomberg reports, giving more certainty to Friday's vote on the $71.3B deal.

Activist TCI Fund Management supports the transaction; it had made some waves last month when urging Fox to wait on another counter-offer from Comcast (CMCSA -1.1%).

The fund had said it was "strongly motivated" to pursue the highest price in the deal.

How does that criticism of Apocalypse even make sense? Apoc diverged from the usual Fox formula. It tried to be more like an MCU movie unlike the majority of Fox-men films. So he's not talking about Apoc in reference to all of the X-Men movies being the same, because it was different from previous films.

He can't be talking about the first 3 X-Men nor DOFP because Dark Phoenix is going to give us exactly the same formula as those films.

The MCU has been criticized by some as all following the same formula, so what makes the most sense here? Him attacking his own movies or using a common gripe a minority of fans have about Marvel's movies? Again, it's more than obvious which one he is talking about

King of Atlantis regardless, Namor isn't a human or an Atlantean, he's a mutant, just stick him in the X-Men movie.

In other words, right exactly where he least fits. :o
