sadly I doubt it. CADES deadline is March 23rd nearly 2 weeks after Captain Marvels release even then they can extend it 90 days which drags it out to June but Fox and Disney have anticipated this hence the orignal 12 to 18 month time frame.

The good news is CADE has suggested remedial measures most likely asking Disney to divest its interest in the sports channels.
Maybe they can remedy their concerns before the March 23rd deadline and they could approve it sooner

Fingers crossed. But remember the EU was supposed to approve the deal on October 19th. But once Disney offered concessions it delayed the approval to November 6th. That was a 3 week delay. Hopefully its something similar here but I'm not sure.

I dont think Disney cares when they have ESPN. yes it would be a loss but its not worth it if its going to pause their 70 billion deal. They will divest it.

They might give it up. The reason for the challenge is for that. But they might care.

They're not going to give up after they fought to get EU and China approval. This will get sorted early in the new year.

Talking football rights.

Ah my mistake I thought you meant the whole deal. sorry.

I think it's really interesting that, despite all the behind-the-scenes photos and now this, neither Marvel nor Sony have given us official confirmation of Gyllenhaal. Have they?

LOL
I think even the set pics of Mysterio in costume without his dome on, that people say are of Jake Gyllenhaal are actually of his stunt double James Cox. That nose isn't Gyllenhaal's.

’Daredevil’ Was Netflix’s Fourth Most Popular Show When It Got Axed
According to Deadline, which further reported on the show’s demise on Tuesday, the show was doing great numbers on the streaming giant when Netflix pulled the plug at the end of November. Daredevil was actually the fourth most popular show streaming on Netflix at the time it was announced there would be no season four.

Demand for the sightless superhero series was surpassed only by three shows (Narcos, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Stranger Things, all from Netflix)

This was never about ratings. The shows were all successful. I refuse to believe they were bombs until I see the numbers that prove it.

After the recent Russian approval, and although there is going to be that ongoing issue with Brazil we still have not heard of news or approvals from UK, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Mexico, and Israel. It is possible that some of them could have approved it quietly with no news article or a saying on countries antitrust website. I also want to say that I also read that Mexico could be another hurdle for Disney/Fox in regards to sports issues. I would have to say overall Latin America might become a hurdle for Disney/Fox, but hopefully, they can do everything to solve the sports issues in Latin America.

Maybe the reason we haven't heard anything from the UK is because they're too busy with Brexit and wondering where they're even going to be. As you can see, no other business takes place in this country apart from Brexit. :o

Congrats to BP getting a BP nom at the Globes. I am starting to think it is going to land a BP Oscar Nomination.

The television portion of the Golden Globes ALWAYS looks the same, ALWAYS has the same nominees (but I’m happy as hell for Regina King). I’m beating a dead horse but I don’t understand how Cox and D’Onofrio don’t get any kind of nomination. Or Alfre Woodard for Luke Cage.

I feel like Michael B Jordan is getting snubbed too. He should’ve gotten the supporting actor nom for Black Panther at the very least.

Daredevil deserved TV nominations, I agree.

I usually don't agree with the GG noms, but they don't always look the same. This year literally the majority of the nominees are new shows like Barry, Pose, Homecoming, Killing Eve, Kidding, Bodyguard and others. The Americans is probably the only "old show" there, but deserves every nomination.

I'm happy for both Black Panther and Into the Spider-verse. And I genuinely hope Into the Spiderverse opens the door for many other (great) comicbook animated movies.
