No it's 12AM eastern time

Ok. I thought it was 12 pm Eastern Time during business hours. So it's really in the middle of the night here for me and at the end of today for Americans, not really tomorrow in the day. And for some it would really be happening on Tuesday night, not Wednesday at all.

Would've been completely impractical for any kind of Skype meet up anyway as it would be 4 am UK time.

I would have liked to stay up for the news, but 4 am GMT is way too late (or early) for me.

So at 12.03 am, will we hear any news about Dark Phoenix and New Mutants? Or perhaps Kinberg will be tweeting in the early hours of the morning about business as usual at Fox and his planned sequels?

I'm not sure if Kinberg will receive the news of the completion over on his Truman Show town he's in.

S̶o̶o̶n̶.̶

Now.

(I thought we still had over twelve hours left, though. Did Disney close the deal early?)

Ah come on. Suck it up buttercup! This is important! Set your alarm clock and get up early!

I know it's easy for me to say living on the U.S. west coast .... but still .... man up and get in here when it's official ;)

I just fixed my sleep cycle. I don't want to mess it up again.

It will have to be great news for when I wake up in the morning.

I can wait to wake up to the news on Wednesday morning. I thought it was going to be at 4pm UK time anyway, so I'm in no rush to have to either stay up or get up for 4 am. There's not going to be that much news at that hour anyway because it won't be the start of the business day. Waiting until Wednesday morning is fine.

Really hoping Disney sticks with the R-rating for Deadpool, because the fourth-wall Disney jokes would be pure gold.

I think they'll keep it R rated for the west, but they'll have a PG 13 cut for China.

Marvel's Fantastic Four 2022 here we go

I think 2023 is a more likely scenario. I see this in the schedule:

2020 - Black Widow, Eternals
2021 - Black Panther 2, Dr. Strange 2, Shang Chi
2022 - Captain Marvel 2, Guardians 3, Ant Man 3

They can always go to 4 movies a year, but that will take time to ramp up. It will be difficult with Disney+ shows as well and I would rather they focused on quality as opposed to just pumping out movies.

Pretty much. Feige did say they might go to 4 a year and since Spidey 3 will be a '21 or '22 release, we'll get 4 of them then.

Actually including X-Men characters alongside the likes of Black Panther, Hulk, Spider-Man, Rocket Raccoon and Captain Marvel is something I wouldn't have expected to see during the dark days of that stupid ban.

Glad they're promoting these people again.

There's no information on Spidey 3 besides fans' hopes and dreams. We don't even know what will happen between Marvel and Sony. The contract expires after FFH.

X-Men and Fantastic 4 characters were only in the first game that was released ways ago. They're not in the Avengers one or the Lego Marvel 2 game

Sure, but we know Sony wanted a movie every other year. It's not like we're just not going to get a third film in the franchise

The end of an era: Disney's acquisition of 21st Century Fox is finally complete

I know. That's why I referred to the advertisement, which is from last week.
