Hilarious. She actually thinks she’s gonna stay after her horrible storm.

She'll be like a shipp passing in the night. Before when she made that tweet though, she was like a shipp passing wind in the night. :o

To be fair, Shipp was never really given the chance to give us a good Storm. She was limited by what the script gave her which was next to nothing. Don't blame Shipp, blame Singer and Kinberg.

I still prefer the Apocalypse portrayal of Storm to the X2/X3 portrayal. Personality wise at least. Halle's Storm stopped resembling the comic book Ororo Munroe after X1 and by X3, she was cold and detached. You didn't get the sense that she cared about her follow X-Men let alone the students. They all felt like co-workers doing a job and not a family.

The best portrayal of Storm is in X1 and Apocalypse. Shipp had the potential to be great. She's not a bad actress at all

All great actors but too old for the kind of longevity marvel might be trying to get out of them.

You’re one of my favorite people in this forum but this is where we differ. Those are the two worst portrayals of Storm, she hardly had any lines in both of those movies to even come to that consensus lol.

We don’t even get that her given name is Ororo in Apocalypse, we just know it’s her because of that Mohawk.

Dave Franco is 33. The age range they're probably looking for someone for Reed. Meloni is 57. They're not going to have a Ben Grimm who is nearly 60 and older than Aunt May. If he gets together with her, Peter can have his Uncle Ben back. :o

Halle Tosis's performance as Storm was not a breath of fresh air.

I hope they stick close to the comics and make Reed older. You can get as much time out of Hamm that we did with Downey Jr.

Meloni's voice is more important than his looks.

Meloni's voice isn't that suitable for Ben Grimm. Seth Rogen's is more suitable and already naturally gruff, plus he's got the humour down.

Plus you'd still have to see Grimm in human form initially. Meloni would look too old.

I really want to see a beast with the 90s style hair and showing off his intellect way more.

What I'm trying to say is that her demeanor and the way they wrote her dialogue was not far off from the way Claremont was writing her in the 70s-80s. The "Do you know what happens to a toad-" line is something I could have easily seen comic Storm saying at the time, even if it doesn't work for the movie.. It's cheesy and slightly over-the-top but If someone like Basset has delivered the line with divine importance like comic Storm, it could have worked. She had a bigger part in X2-X3 but this is the point where she started becoming a generic "badass" chick. No longer did she have a lyrical, over-the-top line of expression in way of her mannerisms and dialogue from the comics that Singer/Hayter/Kinberg tried to somewhat capture in these movies.

Really -- they are all not good portrayals of Storm but if I had to choose my least favorite, it would be X3.

poor girl lol

she knows shes gonna lose the role, I wouldn't rub it in. She probably really enjoys playing what she thinks is a good version of the character.
I would rub in just for the unnecessary remark she made about black people.

Problem is in X1 that was an exception, she never stands up to Sabretooth and the Storm I know would have put him in his place.

“Scream for me” “you owe me a scream” and she never talks back to him.

But there’s so little of film Storm to even discuss, anyway.

Well, he was choking her in the first instance, she couldn't talk/nor breath. And in the second, she was scared of him... Which, I agree - is out of character for Storm.

This is how it should have went. Creed: "You owe me a scream.." - Storm: "Never".

What did she say?
Oh dear, well that doesn’t sound good at all
She said black people are more racist to her than white people just because some fans wanted a dark skinned storm. It is absurd, because the majority of those that defend black actors/actresses on social media when their characters are getting hate are black people. Candice Patton, Anna from Titans, Zendaya and a lot of other actresses are examples of this. That's the main reason why everyone hates her and wants her to be recasted.

What about if it was true?
