This is what Hulu was invented for.
Does Hulu host movies tho? I thought they were just tv shows. DP is PG13 fits right in with Disney+.
Nothing changed. Alpha is reporting on a bloomberg piece, which has a source from MLex. They may still approve by the 30th. You guys should take these reports at face value, not as the bible of something that's definitely happening/not happening. Things like this change all the time.

I do think that on streaming people’s tolerance for crap is far higher, as they haven’t wasted time and money getting to a cinema and also aren’t part of a captive audience, able to pause or stop watching entirely at any time. Films that I wouldn’t consider watching in the cinema are still a positive to have available on streaming (for someone like me at least).I don't think they can afford to shelve it. No matter how bad it is, releasing it guarantees about $100 million in their pocket. I don't think they're going to just throw away $100 million.
They could try to use it as a way to draw people to their streaming service, but that gets a bit tricky. If they put it out there as a reason to sign up, and then it's completely terrible, it may be a poor way to launch the service.
If anything, Disney will want to disavow themselves of it, and if they release it, even after the closing, they can still blame it on Fox. If they put it on their streaming service, they'd own it more.
... and they can't really say: "Check out Dark Pheonix in Disney +. It's really terrible, but watch it with your friends over a couple beers, and it could be a fun time. LOL." Though that would be a brilliant experiment in "honest marketing".
It just makes Feige's job harder, trying to revitalize a damaged property. They'll be in the same boat the F4 are in right nowI think Feige and co. wont do that to Fox crew, mostly as courtesy.
yeah, sounds weird, being Hollywood and all, but Feige knows damm well his X-Men will be huge, so he wont mind if dark Phoenix flops at all lol
Hulu host hundreds of movies they're pretty much just like Netflix
Welp, better for John Krasinski. (Hopefully without Blunt)Noooo. He was supposed to be Reed,Doom or Nightmare. Damn Sony.

That really depends on whether or not the movie is Fan4stic level(which is really, really bad) or just Apocalypse bad(bad, but forgettable). Kinberg was rumored to have been involved in the reshoots of Fan4tisc so that’s not encouraging but I still think at the end of the day the damage to the brand this might do(assuming this hits theaters) will be quite minimal and not Fan4stic or Batman & Robin levels of severe. It just makes Feige's job harder, trying to revitalize a damaged property. They'll be in the same boat the F4 are in right now
I think DP would have to be reeeeeaaaalllyyy bad for them to scrap it. So bad that there would be a serious risk of it damaging the brand for foreseeable future. Fant4stic or Batman & Robin level.
I'm with you on this one. I don't see this going into theaters at all, especially if Marvel does have some kind of teaser of mutants and F4 after Endgame. It's way to close to the next phase to tarnish the brand. I see this on either Disney+ or Hulu.If what is being said about Dark Phoenix is true, I can't imagine Disney would want this movie turning the property toxic and soiling audiences on the X-Men like what happened with Trank4stic, before they even get their hands on it. Feige I imagine won't be happy about the movie potentially ruining any plans he may have for certain characters/elements. Doesn't it make wayy more sense to put on streaming and save face? Longterm brand viability is the most important thing here. And Disney cancelled Gigantic which was a 100m+ movie. They can tank the loss and make back 5x more with the first MCU X-Men movie
