That was the explanation they ran with on a marketing website for the film. Reeds body generates micro black holes that warp space around his limbs so they only look like they are stretching, but ain't really. Yeah...

In Ultimate he stretches, but his transformation was somewhat more extensive than regular Reed. His whole body is more like a single bacteria cell or something like that. Doesn't need to eat or breathe either iirc.

That was weird. I think if Trank would have made his movie without the F4 title, he could have built up his own Trank universe and who knows how it would have turned out. But he messed with the wrong fandom when he messed up F4.

I think the end of March is a safe bet, and that's fine. There's no extreme urgency. A February or March close probably won't make any difference regarding the things we care about.

I still think it closes within the next 60 days. Brazil was all set to approve this month but it looks like they need a little bit more time to work things out. Thats fine thats still within the next 60 days. Which means they should still be able to tease stuff during the captain marvel press tour and if not the captain marvel press tour well most certainly get some teases during the End Game press tour remember Feige told us that Spider-Man would be in high school during the age of ultron press tour.

about Disney plus, I dont see a real urgency, the service wont premiere until september, likely, so Marvel will get all Fox properties before the summer, enough time to decide what fox movies to include on the premiere week and which not.

Unless Tatum directs the movie himself while also playing all the characters in the movie, I don't see Gambit getting done at all. They don't have a director and a cast yet, and they'll probably still working on the script.

I was hoping- and I guess I still am- for it to be done within the first quarter, but just the fact that this is going to be a reality well within this year has me beyond excited.

Now if they could only get it done before the five hundred Fox-Men and FantastiKids movies they have "planned" so we can get the real versions of the characters we love....

That rumoured fantastic four reboot disappeared into the abyss in the middle of 2017 we haven't heard anything since. So I assume its dead. I guess theirs a chance gambit could still happen. Which in theory wouldnt be that bad I guess since its not a main X-Men movie. I kind of want to see Gambit happen just to see how bad it will be.

There may be some chatter on Fox rushing to do another Marvel effort but that's all it will be. I can't see anyone there green lighting something they want to make a franchise from when Marvel are gonna pull the rug out from under it as soon as the deal is finalized.

Complete waste of time & money and not a great way to make an impression on the new management.

Only the 2 that were already more or less in the can will be completed.

If it did, once everything was done and if I was someone in charge and saw someone greenlights something like that at this point that I know would be a counterproductive move, once the cuts start happening I know where I would start.
