I doubt it.
Real fans of the characters might have some leftover senseless nostalgia-based anger at first, but will react positively when they see their beloved characters treated the way they were always meant to be. Those that we know are not true X-Men fans, but just FOX contrarians, will not cease their attacks. But that will not damage these future movies and it will not make Marvel Studios flinch. They will let the quality of their work speak for itself.
Let them share their discontent. The majority of people will see through it and I know it certainly won't affect me. All I care about are all these great characters treated fairly.

To me, the Fox characters veered so far off course, I lost interest in them years ago. I think the Marvel versions will be much better and much closer to what we saw in the comic-books.

In my mind, I'm imagining a Wolverine that's a manic ball of fierce energy, and the moment I see that, I'm going to forget all about Hugh Jackman, but I imagine some fans, both casual and more hardcore will see anything that's not Hugh Jackman as 'wrong'.

It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Maybe Hugh Jackman will play Cyclops this time round in the MCU. :o

Patrick Stewart as Magneto, Ian McKellan as Professor X. Vinnie Jones as Beast. Kelsey Grammer as Juggernaut.

Just swap everyone around for the All New, All Different X-Men. :o

The Fox movies were great pre-MCU comic films
But in the Era where Marvel has shown the way on treating your characters' source material with respect and bringing comic pages literally to life, the Fox movies just feel outdated and still rooted in an idea of "the comics are good and all, but what if we make less... I dont know.... goofy?". The Fox films are the result of film studio execs with little love for the comics looking to cash in. Whereas the Marvel movies are made by nerds who know how much money they can make by being more respectful to the soucre. Hell, even DC doesn't shy away from the source like Fox does, they may not make great movies, but at least they embrace it.

And what was the most successful Fox films? The Deadpool movies. The ones where the did embrace the source. X-Men has been stuck in the 90s for far too long and badly needs an update. The Matrix was 20 years ago. It isn't new and fresh anymore!

The only part I disagree with is that they made great pre-MCU films. Fox has always been hit or miss. Daredevil, Elektra, The Last Stand, and the Story Fantastic Four films were all pre-MCU and none of them were well-liked even at the time.

I'm not sure I like those Dazzler and Tigra designs... Hope the shows have a better quality than what Loeb has been producing on the animation front for the last few years.

Are these shows going to be canon to the MCU? :o

I hope this doesn't mean that Marvel has no plans for a live-action adaptation of these characters.

LOL

Nah

None of the animated shows have affected what they're doing in the movies. What's happened is Loeb just tries to very superficially mimic some of the stuff happening in the films in the hopes of grabbing viewership of the little kids that have seen the movies.

The only one I liked since Earth's Mightiest Heroes was the Guardians of the Galaxy cartoon.

I don't think Loeb was involved with AEMH, which is probably why it was so good.

I've only seen a handfull of the Guardians animated show but I agree it's not bad. Nowhere near the stinkfest that was Hulk Agents of SMASH... :barf:

I'm not sure about the new Hulu programs - I would have preferred to see the Glover brothers Deadpool show - but heading into adult animation is a smart move by Loeb. With new Marvel shows on Disney Plus that feature actual MCU characters and are actually in continuity with the cinematic MCU, Marvel TV had to do something to keep their jobs.

As for the Fox X-Men series, I consider X2 to be the only 'great' entry. Though First Class was a solid reboot, the prequel series never evolved past its recurring problems of Mystique as Uber-Mutant, Magneto heel turns, awful costumes, silent & disposable background characters, nonsensical decade long time jumps and wonky continuity.

Haha yeah, sorry, I should've said "The first two Fox X-films"

And those animated shows sound great to me with only Chelsea Handler's involvement giving me pause... not a huge fan of her snide brand of 'comedy'

Btw the CADE meeting on Feb 13 also doesn’t have the deal on the agenda. Página 24 do Diário Oficial da União - Seção 1, número 27, de 07/02/2019 - Imprensa Nacional

What do you make of this? Should we expect approval in a couple of days.

its getting serious now. Iger is going to visit Brazilian regulators tomorrow personally to discuss the Fox deal.

Tomorrow morning, Disney CEO Bob Iger will have an important meeting to define the company's direction in Brazil. He will be at Cade to explain the merger of the company with Fox. The transaction was approved in the US and other countries, but has not yet been rectified by Cade. Around here, the problem is the sports channels of what would be the new company. With the merger, ESPN and Fox Sports would have the same command. Cade may ask to sell or interrupt one of the channels.

This is kind of random but if after seeing Will Smith's Genie you still think MCU She-Hulk should be CGI, you're a doofus.

The MCU has created wonderful CGI characters in their live action films, so I trust them to make a Shulkie that's better than Will Smurf. So maybe you're the doofus, huh? YOU'RE THE DOOFUS!!!!!

I imagine Iger will make them an offer they will not refuse (and one they have probably been waiting for... )

This announcement is Disney basically saying that the ninja monkey, the singing mutant, the tiger woman, the talking duck and the giant head are too ridiculous for live action. We have no current plans for them in any of our movies.

The other X-Men, you just wait. Big plans are afoot.

Nah

How are any of those characters more ludicrous than a talking, tech savy, gun-tottin Racoon or his companion tree?

I think you guys are over-thinking the relationship between current Marvel animation and the MCU proper.

I agree that they can coexist. Howard will coexist. I’m just saying Disney doesn’t have big plans for these guys.
