I want Beast to look more like this:

That design with that kind of face and hairstyle. And definitely more monkey-like than cat-like.

That is key for me. Definitely no feline features at all for Beast. I hated that cat split lip he got in First Class. That was horrendous.

My hands down favorite version of the character. I was not a fan of the lion-look and the hooves-feet he had at one point.

I liked the Beast who could use his feet like hands. He could be bouncing a ball against a wall with his left hand, scratching his head with his right hand, holding up a paper pad with his left foot to write a science paper on bio-chemistry and actually writing it up with his right foot, all at the same time.

Again, hands down best version.

You don't have to go feline to make him look more animalistic. Like Raven said, go the Ape route. You can change his features enough so he's not just a hairier version of regular human Hank.

What would that look like, exactly? Normal Beast/Hank already has ape-like features. I guess you could go for the 2014-second evolution look

But ehhhh... I personally prefer the feline look myself. It works better with the notion of him being a "beast". It's kinda become the iconic look of Beast for the last 15 years. You veer too far into the "gorilla" aesthetic and Beast/Hank starts to look like a visually unappealing/grotesque character

I hope this is part of Igers plan to make Hulu the next big streaming service. Even if its just Daredevil season 4 they revive so many folks would jump over from Netflix.

I disagree the cat version is more iconic. I hated Morrison's reason for making him a cat and i hateh how quitely resigned him (and the rest of the team). He never felt like Hank to me as long as he looked like a Beauty and the Beast reject.

He was only initially closed off. Later on, he was dating Abigail Brand and later on Cecilia Reyes, he wasn't resigned at all after he adjusted to his new form. His name made more sense, he actually looks feral and like a BEAST as opposed to normal Hank with fur and fangs.

The alternative to blue face paint Hank of the classic version and feline Beast introduced Morrison's run is something that looks more primate-like. And do we really want Beast looking grotesque/repulsive like this?

Otherwise we get the boring version from the 70s-90s

Avengers Beast was gorilla-like enough without becoming grotesque. He was fun and seemed like a cheeky character. None of the Beasts in the X-Men movies have felt like that at all.

I want that pointy, almost Wolverine-like hairstyle like in the pic I posted earlier, not something like the above. And I don't want his hair flopping down like it was for Kelsey Grammar, or how it was for Nicholas Hoult.

It's the design I want. It doesn't mean he has to be done as simply as the pic I posted. Of course they will make him furry and more realistic. You have to remember that they just did simple drawings back in the day. Even Iron Man's classic armour sometimes looked like he was just wearing a cloth suit depending on who drew it. But it's the general design that counts. Other artists drew the same thing and it looked much more metallic and armour-like.

He's probably more focused on making Disney+ that considering they own 100% of it. I'm sure Hulu will get a huge boost as well, but competitors will profit too.

The hair is exactly what I want. It makes all the difference. And Grammar wasn't very monkey like compared to Avengers Beast. He stood in a much more human way.

Well that goes back to our point about Grammar having limited mobility. He couldn't move like comic Beast because the suit could only provide a certain amount of movement. Visually, he LOOKED like comic Beast it came at a cost. Hoult looked like a blue Teen Wolf but he could move well, even though it looked off.

So Mocap is the answer to this problem. But if they did him with motion capture, they should take advantage of it and make Hank look more like an actual "Beast" instead of painting the actor's face blue and giving him fangs

The classic Beast from the 70s reminds me of the Grinch for some reason

To look more ape-like they should have modified the mouth and jaw area a little more. But most importantly, the body proportions and posture were too human. Beast should have longer arms with larger hands and feet. He should also look wider and heavier than either version showed... I think it's impossible to do with prosthetics alone. Maybe if they incorporate some puppetry with new make-up techniques, but that seems overly complicated when you have a better option like motion capture.

Beast needs to be CG, that is the long and short of it. Don't try and hold on to some fantasy of practical for characters you know can't be done.

McAvoy as Doom/Magneto and Fassbender as Professor X would be hilarious. But Fassbender as Reed is something I hadn't considered before as someone mentioned earlier. Now that would be interesting.
