Maybe I'm alone here but I think what we've seen so far of Hulk has worked out well. I'm not sure I want him talking and exchanging quips with the rest of the team.

Yeah. I could see them toning things down a little, but I doubt he'll be trading barbs with Tony.

Let's see how Hulk does in Thor: Ragnarok. This being a Thor/Hulk buddy film gets me excited for it, and this will be the first Thor film I see in theaters.

Talking is fine. Qujps... Nah. If he says something funny make it unintentional... Maybe not. Thinking about it Drax isnt far off that...

Let's be clear here. MCU Hulk is barely the 3rd person-speaking savage Hulk from the comics. Even that version had more personality and spoke quite a lot. MCU Hulk has only said the odd few words - 2 at most in the Avengers and none in AOU. He is little more than the 70s TV Hulk who said nothing whatsoever and the version the general public seem most familiar with. It's the version that keeps perpetuating the idea that Hulk can't speak and has no personality.

If the MCU even gave us 3rd person-speaking Hulk that would be a big change and he would be more entertaining than what we have now. That version in the comics was in the Defenders and he was funny and interesting. He bought a whole trolley full of beans at a supermarket after trashing some crooks who were trying to rob the store, and then the Defenders had to eat that for a month while Hulk enjoyed it at the dinner table, telling them that "beans are good."

This same Hulk had nicknames for his team mates like bird nose for Nighthawk or cat girl for Hellcat.

So even he would be a huge improvement over what we have, which is NOT him.

Oh I agree. Im just thinking of the smarter green scar persona as Ragnorak will in part be covering that story.

They can still go for Hulk Smash though (Id be happy enough with that)

I think Ragnarok's otherworldly set could be the perfect opportunity for a bit of talking.

I think Hulk will get more focus in this film than he does in the Avengers movies. So we'll see.

I agree, I just think that him not talking in what we have seen has worked out well. I'd be down with him talking in the future if it works.

That's not the impression I got from reading what the director had to say.

Its going to be Thors film just like the title says. They arent going to say otherwise. Heavily featuring Hulk in a major capacity. Just like Civil War was still a Cap film featuring Iron Man.

Hulk will be a supporting character. I think his role (in terms of screentime) could be compared to Iron Man in Civil War. We'll see.

But once again, this is the first time that I am excited for a Thor movie!

Since they can put Hulk in a Thor movie, there's no reason that the FF couldn't show up in another MCU movie. Team-ups are a staple of the MCU now, especially non-origin films.

Well they could go the Spider-Man route and introduce F4 in another MCU film first, but...

I won't be happy until I get a good FF origin story and I get to see them with The Inhumans and Dr. Doom.

I see misery in my future.......

I'm certain the Fantastic Four won't get another origin story in the next reboot.

Probably not, but I'd love to see Reed and Ben AND Victor back in college where they meet.

I think an MCU-integrated FF has to cover the origin at some point. They're celebrity superheroes with many very public exploits, so their origin is as much of a historic event as Cap's.

I really liked the way that DD unpacked Punisher's origin without flashbacks, but you can be damn sure that we'll be seeing those when Frank gets his season, just like Luke did after first appearing on Jessica's show.

Actually with Namor in the same boat rights wise it might be very worth it. Also they could get the distribution rights retroactively to TIH (like they did for the Paramount films) which would make them some $$$$$ for box sets and blu-ray sales.

In fact, the only way it's not worth it is if there is a time limit (there doesn't appear to be though) and it is expiring soon.

I doubt there's a time limit for first rights of refusal for the distribution, as others have said it's probably a deal for a trilogy or something.

It makes sense for Disney to buy any distribution rights universal has (and back distribution to TIH), but the reason they probably haven't bought them yet is probably because they want to get it all (i.e. all distribution rights Universal has AND theme park rights)

I'd love to see Namor in an upcoming movie. That'd be pretty awesome.

If the rumor is true that they are now fully back at Marvel, then Black Panther is the perfect movie to introduce him in.

It's still true that neither studio made enough money to warrant a second one.

I feel very confident in saying a sequel to TIH in this day and age would gross over $700MM WW.

If Marvel ever buys future and previous distribution rights to Hulk movies from Universal, I would want them to fix TIH a bit. Wouldn't make it the best movie ever, but they could fix Hulk and Abomination's face, animation, and mannerism. They could also have Ruffalo replace Norton in all Banner's scenes.

I won't be happy until I get a good FF origin story and I get to see them with The Inhumans and Dr. Doom.

If Marvel got the FF rights back, they would go straight into action a la spiderman. I wish they would do a 4 - 8 netflix/hulu/abc-imax episode mini series for the origin stories for some characters that have already seen their origin stories messed up on the big screen (i.e. spiderman, hulk, FF, xmen, etc).

I feel like their origins can easily be covered in the first ten minutes. Marvel have done a great job at telling origins. From an un-condense telling in Iron Man, to The Incredible Hulk's opening title sequence, to Black Widow's multi film revealing, to Black Panther's slim down origin in Civil War, and to Spider-man's origin replaced by a conversation about his motivation. I think what F4 in MCU needs more is an introduction of them to the world and not an introduction of them to the audience. Space, Cosmic rays, super powers, then what comes next is far more important to their success.

We haven't seen much of the cosmic side of the F4, and I think they would really do a great service to the MCU.

I do to! Well, I'm feeling more first twenty minutes, but it's that Stan Lee kind of origin that the sooner they get it out of the way, the sooner they can get to the real story. Even in my pipedream Sherlock-style 3-movies-per-season version, the origin would cover the first half hour at most, and then they get to fighting whatever real supervillain or monster is gonna kick things off. But even then there are more creative ways they could get the ball rolling.

But DD had flashbacks to his own origin. The FF could have that, so that it doesn't start off the movie (or whatever movie they're in) in a linear way but just jumps straight into the action, and then they can recount the origin later if someone asks about it. Or they could have a slideshow-style presentation a la Iron Man when Tony Stark was first being introduced in the first movie (after the Afghanistan capture scene, of course).

They could even have something similar to the Smithsonian Museum presentation of Cap in Winter Soldier with someone narrating in the background, as if it is a well-known event that is now celebrated.

What would be cool is if Johnny Storm met Cap and was slightly starstruck, and Cap could tell Johnny that he was like him once, as a nod to Evans having play Johnny as well. Of course, I don't know how realistically this could happen, given that Cap is on the run.

Since they are celebrity heroes they could even have the origin be explained quickly as part of the intro to a TV interview they have during the movie. Maybe start the movie with an action scene and have them interviewed afterwards by a TV crew.

They could tell the origin doing something similar to the museum exhibit in The Winter Soldier.
