Except the X-Men weren't removed from all toy and licensing deals...

Marvel was incredibility petty towards loyal X-Men fans like myself who only read Marvel because of X-Men.

It takes two to tango.

And FoX Kids/FoX & X-Men: The Animated Series helped save Marvel during the 90's when all mighty Disney could care less about Marvel.

Don't spit on an entire generation of X-Men fans.

I agree, but you've read this endless thread, it's a two way street in terms of this relationship. Marvel didn't decide to play hardball just for shi*s & giggles. Announcing a FF reboot just after the purchase of Marvel by Disney certainly didn't help matters.

Marvel owed Disney money back in the 90s, so I'm sure Disney cared a little lol.

I might get those figures, but the problem is I already have all those characters from earlier Legends releases. Even Juggernaut.

Post from the site that shall not be named:

I really think fox gave marvel the rights to the fantastic four in exchange for the x-men t.v rights. Look at the clues.

-Gun got permission from fox to use Ego.

-Gun has been talking about wanting annihilus as the villian for gardians 3, even though he knows it's a fantastic four villian.

- Fox is now able to make t.v shows out of x-men propertys.

- Marvel has been pushing X-men comics after years of trying to push them towards the back of entertainment.

- Now today we heard there might be a new x- men animated show in development.

I don't know maybe I'm just seeing connections I want to see, but damn would it be icing on the big ass cake that is the MCU.

I think so too. The comics often reflects the state of what is really happening.

I think Marvel might be open with Fox continuing the X-universe with FF coming back to Marvel. All the signs are there. The FF homecoming is obviously kept a secret until phase 4.

That would also explained while Avengers: Infinity War 2 can't be named yet. If F4 and Silver Surfer would be in it and would lead Marvel Phase 4, they wouldn't want to show their entire hand right now. Things won't be clearer until after the first Infinity War.

They still went bankrupt, so I'm not sure it "saved" them.

So any news on properties reverting to Marvel?

Nope. Nothing at all. Yeah, we don't know that, it could've been done in secret, Marvel could be keeping hush-hush, and so on and so forth.

As far as what we know...just endless speculation more intriguing than the world's most extreme game of connect the dots.

More of a Select guy myself, but yeah, it's definitely been more recent.

Fascinating how the very people who always claim that X-men should be left alone at Fox to be its own universe are the same ones complaining when Marvel actually follows this set up.

As for the shirts and stuff, it makes more sense from a marketing standpoint to give a harder push to the characters you have full ownership over.

The X-Men having limited interaction with Marvel in comics, movies, & animation is great but to purposefully not include even Wolverine, Cyclops, Phoenix or Storm on a cover featuring the most prominent characters in Marvel's 75 year history is petty. These characters are have been in involved in the highest selling single Marvel comic of all time. But their not good enough for the 75th anniversary cover?

Digitally removing Storm, Wolverine, & Cyclops from Secret Wars t shirts is also beyond petty. Just because X-Men are with FoX and have a history of seclusion doesn't mean that they also can't be involved in merch.

They also removed the FF: The Torch and the Thing were on the original art too, as was the Wasp, another alteration.

Reed, the Torch and the Thing were also removed from the Secret Wars cover art with Spider-Man in the symbiote suit for the first time.

The FF were also absent from the 75th anniversary thing. Considering it was the Fantastic Four that started the Marvel ball rolling way back when I'd consider that the bigger slight.

Not sure why you only seem to have an issue with the X-Men being ousted from these things?

I don't know why Wasp would've been removed from that Secret Wars T-shirt too. She was never with Fox.

And Thor should've been on the picture in the first place since he was actually in the story. It's strange that he wasn't actually featured on the cover of Secret Wars #1.

And they could've at least put Spider-Woman (Julia Carpenter) on it too, since she was an actual character in the story, unlike Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Dr Strange, Black Panther, Blackbolt and DD.

Well...though it used the art from Secret Wars #01 the T-Shirt is not labelled as such. It's a 'Marvel Super Heroes' T-Shirt.

With that in mind the replacements are characters already in the films or TV (or soon will be). Wasp could have stayed though, seeing as they kept She Hulk who isn't in the live action plans for anything afaik.

Best guess is whoever photo-shopped it couldn't be bothered or something.
