Days of Future Past The Rotten Tomatoes Score Prediction Thread - Part 1

Hahah I was looking for emoji heart eyes too.

A paragraph counts as a review now then does it? and a top critic at that. High standards.

Seriously. Like how is that acceptable for a professional "top critic" writer? He should be embarrassed.

Shameful. RT should have had simply ignored it. It seems that the guy only did it with the sole purpose of bringing the score down - no wonder he waited so long to release that embarrassment he calls a review.

The sad thing is, it did bring the score down. :csad:

I have to stand up and defend Webb somewhat here. IMO, TASM is a good film. He was working on only his second film, having to tell the spidey origin again and give the film a different tone and feel. IMO, he did a really good job. Could the film have been better? Yeah. But this is like Singer with X1. Looking at X1 now, it sucks compared to X2. Singer himself said that X1 felt more like a prep film for X2.

Now, TASM2 on the other hand had different writers come in (Orci and Kurtzman. I'm starting to dislike these guys with ST:ITD and TASM2) and I'm sure Sony, who have been found interfering in the past with the spidey series, pushed for many things to be altered. Just see how different the tone TASM and TASM2 are to each other. Maybe this is all Webbs fault and he decided everything to go this way. But the track record of the writers and how Sony (Arad) interfere with the directors vision... Yeah. I think Webb proved in this that he could handle the action and in TASM he showed he could handle the drama.

Back on topic. DOFP is a great film. Delighted Singer has come back. This is his best film since X2. It makes me so sad at what X3 could have been :(

An opinion will always be true, whether or not the facts in it are false.

In honor of the 92% rating, who pledges to watch the film in the theaters 92 times?

I don't have much money to do that.

But I've seen it 4 times, not bad.

Was looking on Rotten Tomatoes, I think it is interesting that now with DOFP out that of the top 10 rated movies based on Marvel comics, 4 are X-Men movies.

Back up to 92%

nice:up:

Also good to see the audience rating hasnt moved from 95% since last week, rock solid hit with critics and fans, much more than I could have hoped for to be honest, good times:word:

Just a shame it isn't making as much money as you'd hope

It's doing alright, at least it didn't bomb.

Thats the thing with money, no matter how much you have you want more.

To be honest its doing fine, some people were expecting too much too quickly where in actual fact the X-series is improving each outing in terms of BO world wide. FC, TW and now DOFP are showing steady improvement each time and DOFP will most likely be the highest grossing of the lot.

Who knows what Fox will be happy with, I'm sure nobody here knows that. They still made films after FC and TW so I dont think its nearly as bad as some want to make out.

It won't suddenly earn 300 million domestic after The Wolverine/First Class/Origins which all featured a different cast.

But hopefully after this, Fox will know what to do to keep the momentum.

To be quite honest,of course you want the films you like to be as successful as they can be but at the end of the day,we're getting X-Men Apocalypse so that's the only thing that we as fans should be concerned about.Whether the film makes $600,$700 million or a billion it doesn't really matter as long as it's enough for the next film.

On the other hand,The Dark Knight Rises made $1,1 billion and yet i was tremendously disappointed by it,so it made no difference that Batman Begins made 3 times less when i love that film 10 times more.

The next film should be the benefactor of the fantastic reviews and word of mouth that DOFP is receiving just like Batman Begins did for The Dark Knight. Both took on damaged franchises and made them cool again.

its true that xmen fans should be happy when we have a large franchise, 14 years old and more alive than ever. Something other fanbases cant say. For example solo heroes fans, like Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Aquaman... Fantastic four and even Justice League, tho their universe is starting, but fans have been waiting many many more years than us.

So we are lucky in this sense. And the X-Men universe is just gonna get bigger in the next 5-7 years, so the best is yet to come
