If manipped a little bit differently, it'd probably wouldn't look as funny.

:lmao:

And now everyone against the fabric costume has had their opinion reignited, despite all the previous manips where it looks great.

Such is the power of confirmation bias.

Maybe those manips of the Avengers suit on display and in the poster should be posted again.

You said it. But still, I hold hope that one day Batman in a fabric-based costume will happen on the big screen.

I'm still shocked that members here like the Captain America suits.

The First Avenger suit held the appeared of a puffy jacket with large suspenders, and The Avengers' suit makes Chris Evans look like a 10 year trick-or-treating.

Or the most heroic trick-or-treater I've ever seen.

Actually, he doesn't look half bad in those, it's that one particular shot where he looks like a 10 year-old.

I mean, that's bound to happen with spy pics. The same can be said for the TDK batsuit during filming of that film.

EDIT:
Plus, it's the cowl that's the problem. If they exposed the ears and put wings that stuck out a bit, it wouldn't look as weird.

Exactly!!

I really think something in the style of the Arkham Asylum suit would be a good compromise between comic book accuracy and believability for a film adaptation.

When I say the "in the style of" I'm NOT referring to smaller design details like the extra-long ears or the huge gauntlets and shin guards, I simply mean the overall approach and use of materials. More specfically, the AA suit's bodysuit looks to me to be a good reflection of generally what we would get if we covered the Nomex survival suit from Begins with the comic book tights.

Thanks Dark Knight for inspiring my post with your killer avatar from the Arkham City trailer.

I'm getting a little tired of members here deciding something or someone looks bad from one photo.

Actually that's pretty damn neat. However I would change the utility belt and the cowl.

I can already see the veins popping out of TheDragantor's head when he reads this post :cwink:

Great costume to go and watch the movie in.

PS: Love the gif.

I disagree, the TDK suit never appeared in the fashion that Captain's has recently. Yes, there are the jigsaw legs, but what I gather from the LA thread is that nearly everyone is commenting on it positively.

Definitely agree, the cowl makes the suit appear worse.

One photo? It's been looking bad since the first official spy set photo, in my opinion.

Exactly!!

 Not trying to be an a**hole, but jeez I can't shake those images out of my head. No amount of editing and lighting in the world can help those suits resemble a bada** supersoldier.

There are tons of pics during TDK where the shots made his head appear too bulbous, it's over-design in general, I also remember this pic:

That pissed people off because they thought this scene would be in broad daylight.
Or these:

Don't forget the pics that people have posted in this thread that don't like the TDK batsuit.

The cowl doesn't make the suit look bad, it makes Evans look goofy in it. There are only a few pics of him looking goofy, but I know that won't be what we see on film.

Lol so now we have both TDK and CA cowl and helmet making the actor playing the character look totally ridiculous.
