^ Indeed...
So in other words, COWLS SUCK! :awesome::exp:

I'm all for the idea of Batman wearing a gray bulletproof uniform (not tights & no rubber plates) with additional armor under the suit protecting the torso.

There are tons of pics during TDK where the shots made his head appear too bulbous, it's over-design in general, I also remember this pic:

That pissed people off because they thought this scene would be in broad daylight.
Or these:

Don't forget the pics that people have posted in this thread that don't like the TDK batsuit.

Your photo links keep on failing.

Most people call the suit 'complex' and 'too busy', but I think it's perfect. I rather have a Batman with jigsaw-designed legs than a Batman that would strike me as goofy as Chris Evans' Captain America suit has in The Avengers.

The cowl doesn't make the suit look bad, it makes Evans look goofy in it. There are only a few pics of him looking goofy, but I know that won't be what we see on film.

The cowl reinforces the image of a young boy battling against the forces of evil. To me, it does effect the suit's 'mystique'. That thing is a disaster. The suit is a whole another story...

Links seem to be working fine for me.

I wouldn't call the TDK batsuit complex, it's just over-designed. I love the upper torso of the TDK batsuit, as it gives off a really good illusion of natural musculature. I like the concept of them going in a direction of moving away from complete rubber in the future. Other than that, the rest of the costume is not my cup of tea.

Evans look great in the Cap costume, and I'll take a few unflattering shots of a great costume over something like TDK suit which no shadow can fix.

I think that the pics posted of Cap doesn't make him look like a boy, but actually a hero.

One cool thing about the TDK Batsuit that doesn't get mentioned enough: the boots. Those are some badass boots! I want a pair.

I think the recent comic costumes have been moving in a direction where it's becoming a pretty reasonable middle ground between the classic comic look and the more armored movie look:

Looks like a bulletproof jacket. Perfect for Batman. More realistic than rubber. I don't see how anyone could be against this.

Because it'll look like this of course!

He needs armor that looks like armor 'cause it's more realistic! Just like real life!

Two words. Chris Evans.

Like I told DMG above, Captain America looks like:

Don't know how anyone can miss the similarities. And you want Batman dressed this way????

Uh huh, let me just find one of the many set photos where the TDK suit looks awful.

By all means, please do. The moment where you find Batman appearing like a ten year old heading to a halloween party, please contact me ASAP. :oldrazz:

I have no particular problems with the TDK suit (it looked fine, even great in the right light) so I don't check this thread much, but I assume there's been absolutely nothing to suggest we're getting a new suit in TDKR?

Nothing yet unfortunately. Most have lost faith in a new suit appearing.

I loved the TDK suit, but I was hoping to seeing a new design for this film. It's starting to look as if we won't be getting a new one.

I have to say, IMO I don't think the TDK suit looks good in many (if any) of the stills that we have.

In the context of the film it's fine.

I think there would have to be a cause for it.

Now after seeing a few bad pics of Evans in the CA suit the ones above prove my point, the suit is just flat out designed better than TDK suit. Theres nothing unnecessary about it, simple form fitting with a protective look to it, Im just not really a fan of the helmet.

Overally im starting to think this thread should be renamed the "Life after Nolan Future Batsuit Thread" because the majority are all pointing towards no hint what so ever at a new suit in TDKR unfortuneatly.

So, should this thread be moved out of the TDKR section?

It was an image of Bane causing havoc.

Ah, OK thanks.

It seemed to me that Bruce intentionally sacrificed some protection for agility in TDK. We were taken through that thought process.

I don't get the impression that Nolan feels the need to make alterations simply for a new film's sake, either.
