My phone and I are not getting along.

Anyway, the Bourne style of fighting would be an improvement to me, but I could do without the same type of camera work. The choreography could be similar without having the "shaky cam" effect.

That's how Batman should fight.

No thank you. I hate fight scenes in movies when the bad guys insist on attacking the hero one-at-a-time despite having a 10:1 advantage in their favor. This means that the hero wins not because of his skill, but his enemies' stupidity.

Then imagine the main character in that sequence is fighting himself or someone of equal skill. We're looking at the style of fighting, which I think is probably more in keeping with the world's greatest martial artist.

He takes on multiple people at one point in the clip...

:csad:

That's the thing though. Comic book Batman is the "World's greatest detective!" The "World's greatest martial artist!" The "World's greatest...everything!"

But I'm not so sure about this particular interpretation. He was trained by Ras, and was his greatest student, but I don't know if that makes him the master he is in the comics, or the detective. Not saying it's right, just saying...

No, I totally agree—there's no way he's that good in the Nolanverse. At this point, I can't see Bats fighting him any different than he did in the first two movies.

The only saving grace is his adversary. IMO, The best fight so far was between Batman & Ras on the train, someone who could go hand to hand with him. Perhaps the inclusion of Bane will precipitate at least a different approach stylistically.

The kick to the balls was especially noteworthy. I feel Nolan has missed an opportunity to show Batman attacking the testicles.

He needs to correct this.

Batman must attack the testicles.

Oh and i absolutely agree. The Bourne fight scene were trash. Silly shaky cam fight scenes do nothing for me.

IMO only the fight with Jarda in "Supremacy" could be singled out as being a victim of shaky cam. It looked like Greengrass worked out the kinks by the time with the fight with Desh in "Ultimatum", which is the one the most visceral fights ever.

Desh. . .was that the guy in Tangier who does the really impressive flip in the middle of the fight?

My hell that was funny!

Looks interesting.

If you get the Robot Chicken reference: CAPTAIN PLANET!

I love the fight with Desh. The build up is a little too long, but boy does it pay off.

Video doesn't work. Anyway, I don't care to see flip kicks and other such candy-assed kung fu moves in an action movie. I prefer the more brutal fighting style of The Dark Knight to anything in the Mask of Zorro video you posted. I'm not opposed to Batman being able to move that fast in the suit, but I want him to fight with a fast, brutal, and efficient fighting style.

The video was from Batman: Gotham Knight and it showed Bruce Wayne doing that "candy-assed" Kung fu fighting you love so much! :woot:

Turn the volume down on these ...couldn't find one without some stupid over-dubbed music. But you get the point. Drag the video to 2:10

Why can't he be fast, brutal, and efficient...agile as well?? Bruce is the ultimate "walk and chew gum" dude.

He can barely pivot in that stupid rubber suit. :woot:

I agree. In the comics he learned his skills from others who truly wanted him to be all he could be. Ras would never teach Bruce to be his better.

Yeah, I am still not a fan of the candy-assed dance-fighting.

So Batman having tons of agility and acrobatic moves is deemed unrealistic?

I think in terms of martial arts it really should be a "to each his own" sort of situation. I mean, in the comics, Batman is supposed to have mastered every martial art known to man. So in terms of film it really comes down to the filmmaker's preference as to which fighting style their interpretation of Batman will use. Personally, I'd like to see a Batman film where he utilizes Krav Maga. However seeing him use a more agile and acrobatic martial art wouldn't really hurt my feelings.

If we get another scene of Batman fighting multiple enemies at once, Id like for it to be choreographed similar to this scene and not how it was done in TDK.

The old "Bad guys fight hero one at a time, no matter how many of them fall as a result of that strategy" BS. No thanks.
That said, I would love to see Blade slaughter the characters from Twilight.
