Just look at how slow his turns and punches are.... thank goodness this is choreograhed! And they still Overwhelmed him enuff to get a knife to his gut.
You do realize the knife to his gut was also choreographed?

Christian Bale wasn't sitting around after the scene going "enough with this bloody suit, I couldn't move fast enough to dodge Heath's knife! :cmad:"

But the crooks still move faster than the hero...he can barely pivot and turn.....enough already....let this guy move.

Of course, silly man!! It's all a big dance!

Look at the flips.....the gymnastic skills....AND HE'S GOT A BIG BLACK CAPE ON TOO!! And he's extremely fast. Why? How can Zorro do this?? No rubber suit! This is what Batman has done since his creation....this is how he fights! Not like the stiffy we've had since the Burton films.

Heck...isn't Zorro part of Bruce's inspiration??

That video looked nothing like Batman. If Batman fought like that, I would be very mad. Batman isn't the kind of character that flips and spins on everything just to look cool. He has actual technique. The only thing that video showed was that the cape isn't slowing Batman down.

Who here loves this scene from TDK? Batman is so brutal! Headbutts, breaking wrists, elbows to the face! Maroni's thugs are definately hardened criminals, each with alot of kills to their name. But Batman goes through them like nothing! Seems like hes blended Keysi and Ninjitsu into one badass fighting style!

That's a great scene, but Nolan ruins it by cutting to Rachel....

That's one of my favorite scenes in any Batman movie

...dude, even if he was wearing a costume that looked EXACTLY like the comic book costume, he still would have gotten stabbed by Joker's knife. Because the filmmakers WANTED him to get stabbed.

Also, in the beginning of the movie, he updated to the TDK suit to become lighter and faster, he said that. And he WAS faster.

To those that mention how it worked so well in Spider-man, there was actually a rubber suit under the cloth, and a plastic mask under his cloth mask.
The rubber suit in Spider-Man was a muscle suit to enhance the actor's physique and as such it should not be considered part of the "cloth" hero suit. In any case, that a rubber suit was worn underneath, even to the extent that it was necessary for the effect, does not negate the fact the the Spider-Man cloth suit worked well.

YOU'RE JOKING RIGHT??? Look...don't double down on something you know is not true, just because you like the rubber suit. Look at that picture...
Zorro was doing the same thing....(shakes head)

And look at this video.....

Darkseid marvels at Batman's agility!

And Zorro wasn't doing that to look cool. He was looking for the high ground and the advantage. BUT IT LOOKED COOL WHILE HE WAS DOING IT! :woot:

But still slower than he needs to be.....

And I understand that everything is written into the script. But the visual is still that of a bulky caped crusader who can't fully use the body he trained so hard on.

You do realise that the above posted pictures are not Bruce Wayne. Thats the Dick grayson Batman. He usually flies around like an acrobat in the Comics, where as Bruce is a more centered fighter. He dosent do the flashy inconsequential moves that Dick likes to do.

Whilst you are correct, Bruce isn't adverse to swinging off buildings and landing on speeding vehicles. Dick's fighting style is more showy and girly, but there is nothing on those pages that would be out of character for Bruce.

Ofcourse. Just stating a fact since i know my comics. Bruce is the best fighter out of any of the Batmen, and when i meant his fighting style is more centered, i meant hes a beast when it comes to fighting, both mentally and physically. A true master wouldnt jump over someone's head and do a double backflip in hopes of catching him off guard to knock them out, when he could just see an opening, throw a punch, and knock him out without leaving the ground.

Yes, but we shouldn't ignore that there's a large precedent of Batman being as much of a showman as he is a practical fighter.

Arkham Asylum (the game) is a huge hit with the fanbase and mainstream, and that certainly did not ignore how Bats can be effective while flashy. No one's asking for outrageous aerial maneuvers or extensive wire-fu. It's completely understandable to desire a bit of grandeur. It is cinema after all, a medium which very much cuts corners to only leave the bare essentials that would be most appealing to a crowd.

Pleez watch this video...It's Gotham Knight ...the story is "Working Thru Pain". Check out the fight scene with BRUCE WAYNE taking on multiple thugs. Note the huge vertical back flip....

Exactly.....and he's done it many times! :yay:

Yeah, sometimes he just stands there.

No thank you. That's a dance, not a fight scene.

Completely agree. That completely removes the threat from the violence, reducing the overall tension.

Are some of you guys saying Bruce can't do Dick? :oldrazz:

It's amazing what we will ignore in order make our points.

You can call it a dance, if you wish. But for years, hollywood called those "fight scenes". And even that Joker party crashing scene was a dance, then (if we use your train of thought). A very SLOW dance. Zorro's was faster and a heck of lot more of what Batman has done for 70 years....very exciting.

Again...note the 2:10 minute point in the video.

"You are skilled, but this is not a dance!" :funny: Sorry, had to do it

I say if certain rumors are true...
If Morgan Freemans character dies in the movie, its going to be pretty difficult for Bruce to get a new suit, considering Lucias Fox has built the modified suits for him in the past

Well, maybe then that will be the proverbial kick in the buttocks that Nolan's Bruce needs in order to become as self sufficient and crafty as we've learned to love him from the comics and BTAS.

*Walks in*
*Reads last two pages*

I'm out.
