ya but the first one gives us an idea what a possible comic accurate suit could look like on Bale if they were to go that route, which is what I appreciate about it.

Are we going to get anything similar to those manips in the next film? I'll bet money against it.

I really like Jak's first manip. I think it would look great in live action. I'm all for a suit like that with a body armor underneath for protection and to give Batman a neat bulky look. I would add gauntlets and black pads on the shoulders just for the sake of the costume design.

Then thanks but no thanks. I wasn't even talking about the manip itself. I was talking about its concept, and I hate it. The AA at least makes more sense.

well to each their own, that's not what I want to see either, but I appreciated the effort to show the concept.

I'm one that still wants a somewhat armored look, but like many others just don't want it to look like a jigsaw puzzle.

I don't mind JAK's effort, at all.

Well ya that was my main point, I do really like the look of the AA suit if I remember correctly I read they really wanted to cross the comic style and the movie style suit for the suit in the game.

Doing that manip inspired me to do something I've always wanted to do, take the Arkham Asylum costume, make my own design adjustments and then make it look somewhat reminiscent of a real human being's body;

The edited cowl is the work of Mister Meddle.

That looks great! This manip, perhaps with a darker gray (like charcoal gray), would be a great way to adapt Batman's costume to the screen.

I like the Arkham Asylum manip. Well done guys. The manip above it is good like its always been. I'd like to add a suggestion if you guys could oblige: Could you make cape and cowl into one? I think its time they used some CGI to achieve that look from the comics.

The cape and the cowl aren't a single piece in the comics. Batman has worn the cowl sans the cape often in cases such as emergencies or if he has been stripped of it, what have you.

Great work on both manips, JAK. I'd love to see something like that on screen.

Yes, but in the comics, the cape and cowl pretty much appear as one.

They aren't. The cape and cowl are two separate pieces.
Not always. Many episodes and comic issues have shown the cape and cowl to be one complete piece. What I said in my post is that they appear to be one. Not that they are, but as it's been shown before, they have been depicted as both.

Awesome manip...but the trunks just look really illogical...like they have no real purpose. In comics/cartoons they are awesome, but in person it just looks weird.

the trunks don't make sense on batman in modern times at all, I know comic wise most superheros were drawn with them, but his costume is meant to instill fear not get laughed at.

I say no matter what route they go with the suit lose the trunks for sure.

And this was made by a HUGE Batman fan.

The only thing different about that from a regular comic batsuit is they added seams and got rid of the "underwear" for a matching codpiece.

No, if I were to see a comic book "accurate" Batsuit on screen, it would have to be Bermejo's. It looks great, makes sense, and it isn't spandex(or a spandex-LIKE material).

Trunks are awesome. Fact.

Anyways, I was always disappointed the suit didn't turn out like this concept art from Begins:

It could almost be a Spider-Man style suit. The boat has sailed on that direction now, though.

And there's always this:

The suit in that concept art really just looks like a wetsuit. In other words, the Batman Begins suit without all those cumbersome foam-latex pieces glued on top of it.

Does Nolan really not see how much better that looks than Robobat? The fact that he looks more like a creature there - which was the damn point of the bat motif in the first place?

A streamlined version of the BB suit is the way to go, as far as Nolan's franchise is concerned.

But it was identical to that. Besides you cant tell from that if they were going for rubber or cloth.

That's great but i see no need for the layers, the mesh and all that. Just close the mesh openings.

Perfect Batsuit to adapt for a movie:

It looks weird without the trunks. It would have been better if his belt was black. I've always prefered the golden belt but in this case Batman really needs some black there and if he's not gonna have his trunks...

That illustration further proves that something needs to break up the color in the pelvic area - whether it be trunks, straps, or what-have-you.

The all-gray bodysuit looks weird, and it actually calls attention to the crotch more than the trunks do. Simply getting rid of the trunks is NOT an improvement.
