That illustration further proves that something needs to break up the color in the pelvic area - whether it be trunks, straps, or what-have-you.

The all-gray bodysuit looks weird, and it actually calls attention to the crotch more than the trunks do. Simply getting rid of the trunks is NOT an improvement.

Just one more reason why I think an all-black suit fits Batman much better.

But it was identical to that.
No, it most definitely was not. No ridiculous panther neck, no cape clasps, cooler looking gauntlets, and less detailing (though the abdomen is obscured, the legs, arms, and chest lack the detailing of the BB suit).

Besides you cant tell from that if they were going for rubber or cloth.

Which is why I didn't say anything about cloth or rubber (indeed, I've never said anything about cloth, ever). What you can see, though, is that this illustration clearly depicts a more streamlined, form-fitting outfit than the Batman Begins suit, which is why I wrote that I could have been produced as a Spider-Man style costume.

I like both the grey/black and all-black color schemes.

The all-black look certainly solves the "problem" of the trunks quite easily. Like Saint's manip, though, I always liked the idea of the trunks being replaced with a harness of sorts. Considering that Batman rappels, it makes sense for him to have one. It's also a simple way of breaking up the color.

Another benefit to the grey/black color scheme is that details like the bat emblem are easier to see - a criticism that both Nolan's batsuits have had (especially the TDK suit). Why bother putting it there if you're not going to see it?

Studies have also shown that a combination of grey and black is just as effective at urban/night camouflage as all-black. Some experts even argue that it is MORE effective.

I'd like to see a grey/black suit on screen at some point in my life. But right now, I'd settle with them going a different route from the tired rubber approach.

Baby steps, I guess.

The gauntlets look the same to me. Other than that i cant see all that much so who knows how his abdomen is there?

Oh, ok.

I really hate the idea of straps. Straps, pads, and anything too functional looks bad on a superhero.

They have the ornate decoration of the LOS gauntlets (as opposed to the smooth gauntlets on the batsuit), and they also have components protecting the back of his hands.

Yes, that's I said the abdomen is obscured, and made my conclusions based on the arms, legs, and chest.

The concept art reminds me of Solid Snake's sneaking suit from Metal Gear Solid 2.

Trunks are awesome. Fact.

Anyways, I was always disappointed the suit didn't turn out like this concept art from Begins:

They should have went with this.

Which would be a wonderful approach to Batman's costume. The sneaking suit is badass, even if it's completely ridiculous that they actually called their advanced military technology a "Sneaking Suit."

Only thing I'd change from that design is getting rid of the hump on the back of his head.

Again, it's essentially a simplified BB suit - without the excessive foam-latex pieces on the shoulders, chest, and abdomen. And that cowl could be easily achieved through prosthetics.

It's streamlined and organic.

In other words, an improvement.

I don't think they can. Some people have that "lump" on the back of their heads, Bale happens to be one of those people.

This is what I mean:

True, but it's greatly exaggerated on that cowl.

...And it's exaggerated on that cowl .

Don't get rid of it completely. Just reduce it to what it has to realistically be.

There is no such thing as a "lump" on the back of the head lol. It's only like that if you have a pencil neck.

It's not a lump, it's just the shape of the skull--and it has nothing to do with having a pencil neck.

Or maybe you think Vina Diesel has a pencil neck?

Saint, make a batsuit concept using the MGS sneaking suit as a template.

DO MY BIDDING PLZ. I'm talentless :csad:.

Saint, I'm pretty sure I gave you an order :o.

Does he also have sneakers, for sneaking?

I agree. I love the METAL GEAR SOLID series.

I already thought the TDK suit looked alot like Snake's sneaking suit in MGS4, with all the plates going on on it. Like the concept alot.
