This happens every time. A bunch come out and scream no it's too late we would have had news by now of a new trailer was going to come out. Then the trailer comes out. We always won't be told right away. In the next few weeks we will get a trailer, most likely with The Avengers, secondary Dark Shadows (and I highly doubt it will premiere with it). The Avengers will be a perfect fit for the trailer.
This, damn it. :up::up:

Not really news but:

The Wendy Williams Television show just had a summer Blockbuster Preview. Avengers was mentioned first (got no applause) believed to break the record for highest opening. TDKR was mentioned last (got applause) Believed to be the biggest film of the year.

This is the only time I can recall seeing TDKR on regular television or outside my TDKR tunnel-vision so it's a little exciting.
Wendy Williams show? lol

A poster will hit on the main website out of nowhere [blackout]soon[/blackout]. Then it's on!

Look... the trailer should be with either The Avengers or Dark Shadows.

Its coming one way or the other. So we should all relax. :o

No.

Nobody is saying that we won't have a trailer, we're saying that picture is not the trailer. if it were the trailer we would have reports from someone who works at a theater by now.

That makes sense.

again, no one said it's too late to have a trailer with Avengers, people are saying that picture is not the third trailer because if it were someone who works at a theater and frequents SHH would have mentioned it to us by now. As they ALWAYS DO.

Cannes announcement tomorrow. Anybody here thinks TDKR will make the cut?

Hopefully not. Any big spoilers will be posted all over the Internet if that happens. Only way to prevent it is confidentiality agreements with threats of strong legal action.

ah, Well I still think it's 50/50 with Dark Shadows or Avengers, I can see the appeal to both.

It's not as open and shut as it was with Harry Potter, is it?

Do they really want to premiere the trailer over the whole ''The Avengers smashes opening weekend hype''?

Dark Shadows might be the best bet, if there are looking for a big push with full attention.

I dont know...

So...

"Dual Trailer Teaser"

sounds like it's just the teaser.

I actually agree. If I was WB I think I'd go with Dark Shadows, but that's the non-fanboy side of my mind talking :o

I actually hope they go with Dark Shadows...

I know The Avengers will have the bigger audience, but we don't want TDKR in its shadow in anyway.

Is it just me or are the premieres of the summer movies right now super early? For example, I feel like The Avengers have premiered in almost every city now.

Remember with TDK when we had those casting sides with loads of the script, and all those images from the convention. I spent ages trying to guess what was going on in the pics. Or BB when we had the script itself.

I remember when I was waiting for TDK I had this awesome dream where Heath Joker was addressing Gotham on a big screen, like the one he announces the parade on in 89 film, and I was in a big internet cafe over the street that had lots of different levels and little rooms and corridors, and Joker was mocking on the screen about how he was going to take over Gotham and I was running round the cafe trying to turn off all the computers that had Joker viruses (I could hear the laugh coming from them and follow it). And I was running out of time with each one. (I could see the big screen out of the windows). Good times.

Yeah, I feel the same. Makes me insanely jealous. And I just know TDKR will be the same, hence as previously stated I'll need to take an exile from here for a while.

If a new trailer DOES come out at the end of April / start of May, it WILL be with Dark Shadows. There is NO way that WB would release the final trailer to their most anticipated Summer film of 2012 with The Avengers. That is not going to happen, full stop.

It all comes down to interest, that leads to money. Releasing the final TDKR trailer in theatres before releasing it online is obvious (given BB / TDK / TDKR marketing history), and will lead to more people watching a film at the cinema. So who do you think WB would rather get more money for? The Avengers (the competition), or a WB film?

I know that the prologue was released on Imax with MI4, but that was due to necessity (it was the ONLY Blockbuster Imax release in December). And the 1st full trailer was with Sherlock Holmes 2 (A WB film).

You were saying? :oldrazz: That's who we were responding to, not people that didn't believe the reel.:funny:

This lol.

I don't think it would be wise if they released the premier of the new trailer with Dark Shadows. The film has a somewhat of a different target audience, that and more importantly Avengers is going to be much larger in terms of box office and butts in seats. It would just make more sense to go with Avengers. But I guess I don't make that call lol.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. :funny:

I'm actually looking forward to the press tour. It'll be nice to see the cast together again (for the last time :() and you just know that some funny stories will be shared.

Personally, I'm hoping that Nolan and Bale do the Charlie Rose show again like they did in BB. I love the Charlie Rose show. And the cast should totally do Unscripted!

Avengers or Dark Shadows (I'm seeing both), I don't mind. Just as long as we get it...soon.

Same here. I'm seeing both so it doesn't matter to me. Best case scenario is it's in both of course. :woot:
