I'm too lazy to look it up but I'm assuming you guys have already heard the (fake) Bale/Freeman TDKR outtakes making the circulations in the movie sites today? :lmao: I don't think we can link since it has some swear words.

"DiCapricot"
"Nolan! Don't f***ing walk away from me!!!"

I was wondering. Dark Knights budget was 185 mill... RISES has an estimated budget of 250 MILL!... Wouldn't that make it the most expensive movie ever made???

not quite, according to Total Film --these films had budgets equal to or more than 250m

harry potter (half blood prince), pirates of the caribbean on stranger tides, spiderman 3, tangled, both upcoming hobbits, pirates of the caribbean at worlds end (300m budget), and john carter (300m budget)

I think that goes to Avatar.
Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End actually. John Carter was more expensive than Avatar.

The Dark Knight Rises still has a high budget though. Definitely in the top 5.

Found them. lol pretty funny

That's the lowest estimation. Many others have said it cost around $500 mill.

That's including the marketing budget. I dunno why people are always inclined to include the marketing budget when it comes to Avatar.

I just looked it up, and the fifth highest is $250 mill, so I guess TDKR would tie with that if it reaches it's budget. Nolan seems to go under for his movies.

It's also about how you choose to spend the money you have. What makes Nolans films so massive, for me, is seeing these movies filmed in so many beautiful huge locations, all around the world. It's just HUGE. And In that regard, Rises will look like a 400 million dollar movie, I have no doubt! :-)

What does a 400 million dollar film look like? Are you from the future?

Because it's part of the cost? lol

Marketing is considered part of the budget. Hollywood has a tendency of not letting people know that though. They don't want their film to conceived as one of the largest budgeted films ever made because if it fails at the box office they don't want people knowing just how much they lost.

Consider how long Avatar was in production. Roughly 3 to 4 years.

That's not the point. Marketing budget is never counted for any other film except Avatar for some reason.

I love how Freeman is the voice of reason in most of these videos :funny:.

Just don't tell him that Bruce and Batman are the same. :funny:

"Why can't we f'in cgi the batsuit on me!!!!!!?"
