The thread already had to be closed because of those videos so I'd suggest not bringing them up again.

It's hard to say. There's so many things going on in the film I'd think it would be quite early, but you never know with Nolan.

Almost none of us who were here when Gill debunked it and clarified that the rough cut was closer to the three hour mark :oldrazz:

Who's Gill?

Who's Gill?

Gill is the beginning of the journey.
Gill is the end of the journey.
Gill is a phenomenon to be observed,
lest we all fall into the realms of obscurity.
Gill is the ever so reliable guiding light
at the end of a deceptively dark tunnel of misinformation.

In other words, Gill is a reliable person.

Screw TDKR and it's lack of news, I'm hyping Breaking Bad now! :woot:

They also say that the movies rough cut got a standing ovation! A rough_cut? Anyway, while I believe that it did indeed receive a standing applause, is that any indication of anything, really?.. it's just talk. I'm sure even Avengers rough cut got a standing ovation, huh?

The cuts are seen by execs who have stake in the film. Of course they won't say it's anything short of "great".

Standing ovations are kind of a big deal.

I always take the 'standing ovation' from execs type of comments with a grain of salt, especially in this day in age when there's so much spin. That said, even though I don't take much notice of those comments I will say given Nolan is directing the thing it wouldn't surprise me if it actually happened. I remain skeptical, but can't rule it out.

I can see the Ra's flashback sequences fitting in with Talia monologue at some point in the movie.

I hope that is where its at. There's a casting side somewhere here with a girl and her mother holed up, hiding from a mob. Perhaps this is a flashback where we see either Neesom Ra's or Young Ra's demonstrating his skills.

The rumored "Bane as a background ninja from BB" could be referenced with a Ra's flashback, but I hope not. It seems like lazy and unnecessary storytelling.

The standing ovation isn't want interests me so much as the rumor that they were uncomfortable with the script.

I really like the sound of that.

The casting sheet with what seemed to be a young Miranda Tate /Talia witnessing at least audibly the death of Ra's Al Ghul's "great love." Of course, I'm hoping this scene will tie into Bane's background as well.

That whole idea of the League running a prison for those that they deem not worth killing but still somewhat dangerous to society seems like a good excuse for why they'd throw a son in for the sins of his father. And whether or not that is part of his backstory, I do think that is him climbing the walls of that well in the teaser. I have no idea when his charcter could have climbed out. It might be before Batman Begins or after. Bane could still learn how to fight and be a hoss in a prison, and maybe he helps some of his fellow prisoners escape, thus forming his own loyal gang out of these guys.

The prison also provides a good excuse for how Bruce could survive getting his face smashed in by Bane while Bane's taking over Gotham. Bane, whether from an alliance with the LOS(possibly Miranda) forcing his hand towards sparing someone like Bruce or his own arrogance, tosses him in there. Bruce taking so long to get up and out would even make sense. And the idea of Bruce hauling himself out of that pit in full Batman mode and stomping through a limp back to Gotham just strikes me as BA.

And I'm still figuring Bane for turning on Talia and the LOS. I figure this accounts for the change in the goal of Bane versus Al Ghul, Domination versus Destruction, the bit we heard about Miranda/Talia sneaking around with Gordon in occupied Gotham, and erases any of that doubt that Bane is his own man.

I wish people didn't automatically assume those sides were fake for another movie because there wasn't exact dialogue and it sounded 'too cheesy'. As if we'd get real dialogue from the sides!:funny: I know some people bought them and they're posed somewhere though.
