Actually, Bruce is still 30 in TDK - it takes place 6 months after the events of BB, in which Bruce just turned 30. Which means that he should be 38 in TDKR. Bale himself is now 38, so at the time we watch the film, both Bruce and Bale will be at the same age.

Actually isn't it 6 months to a whole year after Begins? But about Nolan doing another movie before he tackled this story..I understand it wouldnt of been smart incase Freeman or Caine had health issues or god forbid passed away. It's perfect timing. Like he said anyway, he wasnt gonna do a watered down Joker after just doing TDK. Another "crime film" with the riddler or penguin or black mask as the lead villain. Just wouldnt be very fresh i dont think. VERY happy he chose to end the story..pushing it 8 years into the future, set mostly in winter, a whole different vibe, more physical war kinda theme. Its goddamn awesome

I think both Chris and Jonah said 6 to 7 months after Begins.

If Chris said it. But the viral Gotham Tonights I think stated the Narrows attack was 9 months prior.

After finally watching the first episode of S2 of Game of Thrones, if you think CIA guy wasn't totally directed by Nolan to be a goddamn fool and is just a bad actor, your brain might be missing from your head. :oldrazz:

@venus_ice

The reason why his voice is a bit deeper in Season 2 is that Bane throat-punched him in the Prologue.

I just love this trilogy. Simple as.

Wow. An exec here. Since he has already seen a cut of the final film and has made an informed opinion. What you doin here mang? Shouldn't you be banging hookers and snorting lines in Costa Rica?

How long do you guys think we will and/or should get the next Batman film?

Like Spider-Man, I think they should wait at least 5 years, so 2017 or later. I'd like WB and DC to deliver the entire Superman trilogy before going to back to Batman. Making a better Green Latern, Wonder Woman, and The Flash would be great too.

I can't believe how realism is so misused. These films are not real at all, not even close. Heck, even the political and legal things that were brought up aren't even close to being real. I LMAO at the whole "This bat character gave us everything from prints to cargo manifests" line in Begins. I was shaking my head in disbelief, no way that would have been admissible. And the indictment scene in Knight with all those defendants together was cringe worthy at how out of touch with reality it is.

The expectations for Rises are unreal too. Its gonna be good, probably on the same level as Knight. But its gonna be its own film as well, if all the talk about it being a war film, battle of social classes, etc. is to be believed.

I completely agree, its disguised as realism, but its far from it.

OH YEAH! I mean, how could you not?
Even if I still think you could do a better Batman movie than Nolan has done, up until now... its pretty clear that his movies are the best Batman films we have currently. The best comicbook movies, in my eyes, too.
Still, theres always room for improvement, but all in all, I am pretty satisfied as a Bat-Fan in general, right now. The movies are great, the comics are great and even the videogames rock. I like being me.

I hate this stupid realism thing. Neither side is correct.

We're dealing with fiction, realism is now subjective. It ceases to become a concrete ideal and becomes a sliding scale.

There is realism in This Franchise, it's really strange to see people say these films aren't real at all... Well they have SOME realism in them, they don't abide by the same rules as say X-Men.

On the other side, is it a realistic possibility that these events could happen? No.

We need to step back and view these films as what they are, works of fiction, not depictions of total fantasy or non-fiction.

Realism is applied to these films and therefore exist but that does not make them real.

I saw TDK on opening night. I'll never forget it... when the credits started rolling, the entire theater, myself included, gave the film a standing ovation. It was that good. The reactions of the audience were nearly perfect. We laughed in all the right places, jumped in the right place, gasped in the right place, and even cried in all the right places... with the exception of Rachel's death, that is...

And the standing ovation was not just clapping... it was outright cheering from a few people at least. Thinking back on it now is giving me the chills and putting tears in my eyes just like it did then. and even cooler, everyone stayed for the credits. At least from what I saw, not a single person left until the credits finished rolling and the lights came back on.

I honestly loved Batman Begins. It had its flaws, and I never liked Rachel., but the movie was brilliant. I was so pumped to see Batman returned to his former glory and done, at least as I saw it, "right". So when I heard about The Dark Knight, I flipped. My bar was already set really high, and TDK beat it.

I'm expecting TDKR to reach the bar I set after seeing Begins, because if I let my expectations of it get to the height they were after TDK, TDKR will most likely fail in my eyes. I would love it if TDKR is better than TDK, but I'm expecting it to be better than BB.

I know I'm going to cry once the credits roll on TDKR, but I must admit... I'm seriously hoping it garners a standing ovation from audience I'm part of, just like TDK did.

I imagine it won't be that long of a wait, because, unless I'm much mistaken, DC wants to do with the Justice League what Marvel is doing with The Avengers. I think they originally wanted to use Bale as Batman in it, which is going to be the source of my biggest sadness at the end of TDKR (I'd really rather they use Nolan and Bale instead of rebooting the whole thing for Justice League, but it'll be what it'll be), but I'm honestly not sure if Nolan's Batman would work in a setting like Justice League, unless Justice League is very dark. Besides, I'm not sure how Superman and Wonder Woman and the Green Lantern and the Martian and such would work juxtaposed with Nolan's "realism"...

Why can't the decker buses look like that in UK? And I like that Catwoman. It's looks like real thing I would've got one for my girlfriend if I had one.

Haha pot in the wrong thread lol

I mean I still wanna know how Bruce got all those other scars we saw him with in the TDK I thought his BB suit was supposed to be tougher than that!

He spent years wandering the world getting into fights....he was training as a ninja warrior for awhile....plenty of time and excuses for scars.

But he doesn't have them in BB when he drinks the green milk, so that can't be it.

The green milk has magical restorative powers. Some say it may be a sample of the " Lazarus Pit."
