there was a time (during the days anticipating for TDK's release), where we would have squealed over that picture.:woot:

i eagerly anticipate the days where we would happily make memes over all of bane's scenes in TDKR

Any actual news?
Only if Nolan decides to actually show something new at CinemaCon (would be funny & horrible at the same time, if it's the prologue). Somehow, I don't see WB unveiling anything at all in April. Color me surprised, if they'll actually do something to hype people up this month, although everyone knows that the Avengers are already stealing the thunder under their nose with all the buzz, so I wouldn't bother promoting something up until May.

Might just be a decidedly secretive lead-up, which I think is cool as well.

Could be. Hell, if Nolan will show, at least, a fresh new Catwoman reel (short/long) at CinemaCon, then I'll be spending the rest of the day reading the reactions and geeking out) Loved Michelle Pfeiffer's interpretation of the character, so I don't know what to expect from mrs. Hathaway) Could be anything, man, but I hope to god it's good)

Why would TDKR start advertising now? It's not like TDKR is in competition with The Avengers. I can understand if it's against Spiderman, but it's unnecessary for WB to be releasing anything new yet.

I expect May to be all about TDKR (stills, new poster and new trailer).

I agree... let The Avengers have its opening weekend bliss. Then hit HARD.

It's hard to believe that the Avengers opens here in 3 weeks.

Will you be going to CinemaCon?
Sadly, no. Got my hands full of other stuff, but I'm sure that the likes of the Collider/FirstShowing/SlashFilm will totally be there, so I wouldn't worry about the coverage & descriptions)

Speaking of CinemaCon, I remember them premiering GL posters there, without releasing them online.

Perhaps TDKR will get the same treatment... nah, too good to be true...

Warner Brothers still has to market Dark Shadows, which comes out in a month. Once that movie hits, WB can shift all of their focus on TDKR.

I see. Thank you. Slightly off-topic here, I loved reading your reactions to the recent screening of The Revengers. Can't wait to read your reactions to TDKR & TASM (light years away, I know).

RiM, you should know by now WB/Team Nolan hate showing new stuff until they think it's worth it. Which is like, almost never.

Did he happen to say if it was as Epic as it looks or meh? Or maybe somewhere in between?
Oh, it is epic as hell. This is the film that the fans have been waiting for a long time (actually, 7 years - the Avengers has been in the development since 2005)!

TDKR marketing will probably begin the moment Avengers is released.

I've kind of been hoping for a total blitz for TDKR once Avengers is released

Ok, I know this is a batman discussion thread so this will be my last question.

There are elements and some dialogue that look cheesy, well, is the movie cheesy at all?

Cheesy is definitely not the appropriate or the right word to describe this movie. It's like a real comic book coming to life! Truly phenomenal, now, back to TDKR! THE FIRE RISES!

Thanks RIM!

Yea, back to the Dark Knight! the Fire Rises!

or

The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire! We don't need no water....I don't know why Nolan didn't go with this instead.
