They wouldn't use shots of the NY skyline.

Snow is like, one of my favorite things ever, so getting my snow fix in TDKR in July will be a nice treat. (We have 1 day of snow here in Philly this year :( )

Just looks like NYC to me, haha. That's probably cause I live here.

I was just on that bridge the other day and got a nice view of that same shot and thought...That's Gotham!

I know people on each one of those productions, I think we're going to have a ball this summer. Everything out of each camp has been good, and this is not official words these are honest opinions.

I think it'll be summed up this way:

Avengers and TDKR are going to be repeats of Iron Man and TDK. There's going to be love for both of them...one of them is going to have better acclaim but overall people are going to fall to both sides pretty evenly. TDKR won't even feel like the same kind of film as Avengers and thusly the competition will somewhat cease to exist.

Spider-Man will do well but It will be quickly apparent it came out at the wrong time, it being a origins story and so heavily resembling BB, I think it's going to be on the bottom end of these three films. Not taken as bad but just not up to snuff with the other two. I think in years to come people are going to look back at TASM and say: "You know this wasn't half bad"

But with viewers still reeling from Avengers (and it's startling end) and bracing for TDKR and it's legendary conclusion, TASM is just going to be lost in the formula.

Its funny because many felt similarly to BB. Many, at least that I know, felt BB wasn't neccessarily up to snuff with other films, particularly SM2 which released a year prior.

Now, looking back, they love it. So, I agree. I think that while people will feel TASM is a good film, its not up to snuff with TDKR and Avengers which have had incredible builds and will both be phenomonal in their own right.

TASM is definitely releasing at the wrong time, in many ways, but, I think it will be good and will set up a, hopefully, much more sucessful sequel.

I love NY and the Citigroup building is very striking in the trailer. One of my favorite skyscrapers. (It's the one with the Triangle roof).

They use a shot of the skyline in the trailer...

Well I meant like signature buildings. You won't see a shot with the Empire State building or the Chrysler building in it.

If its buildings that are not instantly recognizable to audiences (who don't live in NYC) as the NY skyline, then they will be used.

The Citigroup building is very, very distinctive. Don't bash one of my favorites!!! :)

And Batman stood atop the tallest building in America (The Willis Tower) in TDK.

The scene with the super-duper hearing.

That reminds me, I need to visit my hometown again. I think it's been almost 4 years since I visited Queens.

The cool thing though, about the movie being finished so early, is that they'll have more than enough time to polish everything, create the ultimate cut and deliver big times. Hopefully. :)
my english is not very good. so i am sorry for asking this. but what? if the movie is finished then they can not polish everything. if its finished its finished.

Isn't calling this thing a "curse" making light of someone's death? I don't think people who worked on these films dying is any more statistically different from that of people dying who worked on other films. We're just more aware of the ones involved in the Batman movies, so people think there's some kind of correlation.

Bet you nobody died filming "17 Again"! :argh:

I agree, its not really a curse. People die on movie sets of action oriented films all the time. These things happen. Its tragic but thats just the way thing go sometimes.

Now the Superman curse, THAT my friend is a curse.

The winter was weak here in Pittsburgh too. It was great to see it snow here during the hottest part of the summer though. :woot:

I'm really excited to see all the aerial footage of Pittsburgh, I know they had their IMAX camera in the air for a number of the chase sequences, the Field destruction, and general plates. It's one of the things I'm most looking forward to.

Winter sucked here in VA too. It didn't snow at all during the holidays and it snowed sporadically during Feb.

same here in jersey the most we got was 4 or 5 inches one day

the winter was weak in general

It really wasn't even cold here either, I think the coldest day was like 18 degrees or something. I was hoping for a lot more after being teased in the summer.

I'm from the north and our winter was also weak this year. :p

It's stunning to me that Nolan has this film pretty much done 3 months out.

This guy knew what he wanted from the get go. I really want to know how much he came under, in terms of budget. He's done that 4 films in a row, I think.

I'm thrilled that he knew as far back as 2008 how he wanted the story to proceed. Was that 2 hours and 16 minute runtime ever confirmed or was it speculation?

in NYC we didn't have a winter, except that one day in October when Myself and Gothamgaurdian were standing out watching Matthew Modine duck for about 8 hours, and it came down like the end of time.

Screw you guys. I'm in Canada and the less snow the better. :oldrazz:

Really excited for Gotham in winter though. It looked gorgeous even from the spy pics we got

This was one of the only really snowy environments I remember, I hope there are more like it though.
