Yeah, it was during the Warrior press stuff I think.

I think he also says he checks online and stuff and I was terrified that he's been here and read the terrible things people were saying about Bane's height and size at that time.

Since the "venom" makes him impervious to pain, I had a theory that his wrists are completely f***** now from punching too hard for too long, and he needs the gauntlet for added support.

It's official, Bane is a bowler. Maybe the final showdown between he and bats will be a bowling match. Makes perfect sense, it's more realistic for him to be a bowling champ than a championship Mexican wrestler.

Maybe he's just right handed and uses it more than his left? I think it's the one he punches Littlefinger in the throat with.

On the mini bust he has a scar that comes out of the brace on the inside of his arm. maybe he broke it really bad.Or had surgury on it, like from it being severely burnt or shattered and just uses is for support and protection.

Now that I think about it, Bane didn't fashion the vest and brace in the prologue, and possibly the teaser too. So it intrigues me further as to how Bane came to include them into his attire.

maybe when he dropped down and did the iron cross on the seats he broke his wrist and uses the brace to let it heal.

I thought the vest was just a bullet proof vest. As for the brace, I just assumed it was mainly for aesthetic, with no real application, but who knows?

I think that was intentional on Nolan's part, to keep the element of surprise when Bane is revealed in the prologue. if Bane wore the vest and brace, everyone in the audience (who has seen promotional material) would be able to identify him as bane even with the sack over his head. Same reason why I guess Joker wasn't wearing his iconic purple suit in the prologue. So they made Bane wear an inconspicuous black sweater like the other faceless thugs. I could be wrong though, maybe he does include those things for a different reason (perhaps controlling the dosage of analgesics that you're suggesting)

I'm not so positive about that. The vest is possibly just a piece of combative hardware for a mercenary entering a warzone (like Travesty alluded to) whereas the gauntlet might be serving a bigger purpose in distributing the amount of dosage for the anesthetic inhalant. Nevertheless, Bane didn't flaunt the gauntlet in the prologue, which leads me to believe that the gauntlet Bane is sporting is not for anesthetic/analgesic/pharmaceutical purposes after all. It'd be crucial for Bane to be wearing the gauntlet at all times, yet he was depicted in the prologue to be without it.

Now, it could be that Nolan didn't want to 'spoil' the audience into giving clues away (when arriving to the reveal) but I deduce that the audience would remain suspicious of the powerfully-built individual regardless. Furthermore, if it were to be unveiled that Bane requires (essential to his abilities) the gauntlet, then it'd be a plot hole.

I'm leaning to this side at the moment. His right arm is used more thus it's on there.
