Haha. Well then I would take it with the biggest grain of salt of all time.

Yep. Nevincer is right that it's awfully convenient that the person's main focus seems to be on things we can already tell from publicly available footage.

Yeah, I get the impression the ending is the most critical part of the film, if you've seen it I'd think that's what your lasting impression would be about. Things like he's described, such as Bane going into the stock exchange and seeing people ducking... that was all in the trailer we just saw. If he doesn't want to spoil the ending and is just being courteous that is cool, but it seems very convenient that he's sticking to stuff we could have figured out ourselves.

This, totally. For people who say "It's not about the ending, it's about the journey", I say "Go play Mass Effect 3". :funny:

That's what makes me not believe people who say they have seen it, the people who we know who have seen it for real (Bamfer's friend etc) all say about how good the ending is and reducing men to tears etc. whereas these people say nothing story wise at all, not even how much they enjoyed the actual film.

I'm disinclined to believe anyone unless they provide information which is not already public knowledge. I'm not suggesting they haven't seen it, but anyone could say that the ending was "good" or "reduced men to tears" it says nothing at all...

Exactly  if they're trying to avoid telling us spoilers about the ending then that's fine but not even saying an opinion on the most crucial part of the film is odd.

No offense to Bamfer or any other Mods but I'm taking even their stuff with a grain of salt.

LOL :yay:

Nolan made the point that the ending was conceived at the time of BB, so to some extent we know it is not wholly reliant on the story of TDKR...if you see what I mean.

There's going to be a lot of these reviews from now on. Reviews which we might want to believe but probably shouldn't. I think the first critic screenings are coming soon though so we should have something reliable.

Most stories don't have endings that destroy the essence of the journey, but for some reason that was neccessary in ME3... and the expalanation as to why was not only incoherent but inconsistent with what had come before.

If we wanted to TDKR-ify ME3's ending, it would essentially be Baby Ben's ghost convincing Batman to destroy Gotham and himself, with the audience somehow being expected to accept this as a triumphant/natural conclusion. I don't think a bittersweet ending is beyond Nolan, but that kind of absurdity certainly is.

At this point, I think many of us have a very loose plot already formed and we probably have a fairly accurate framework of what happens during the story in our heads. The ending is the only thing that still sort of throws me for a loop, because it could go a variety of different directions (and most of them I would thoroughly enjoy, mind you).

I keep seeing posts referring to Rag/Rockets specific reported endings, can someone PM them to me for just so I can see what everyone is talking about, please?

just a heads up for some of you who DO NOT get Marvel comics. THIS has been in a few of the books the last few weeks

In fairness when i registered last May and said Bruce would be thrown into some sort of prison people shouted bull**** at me :funny:

To be honest, if you're a member of the press and have signed up just to leak spoilers and also to be anonymous, I dont think it's neccessary to have some sort of long standing history on a message board but that's just me. Plenty of our moles from WB have been newbies.

True, but ME3 proved just how important the ending really is. It's so obnoxious that I haven't even touched the game post-ending. I had 200+ hours in both ME games before, but I don't even want to go back to ME3 now. All because of that ****** ending.

I remember you (and intothevoid?) posting about it. It's really the first scoop that turned out to be true. Funny too how the PAs were just babbling about it at the bar like it's no big deal. :funny:

I disagree. It depends on what type of ending you're going for. You can have a bad/lacklustre ending that doesn't completely annihilate what came before. ME3 is the exception, not the rule. I'd be dissatisfied for example if the ending was something ambiguous and undefinitive like Batman standing on a rooftop overlooking Gotham, but it wouldn't destroy my enjoyment of the trilogy.

Yeah, me and intothevoid met up, seen so little of him on here since! if Nolan knew his guys was walking around London shouting plot details he would smother them to death with his vest :funny:

I got excited when I heard that.

Don't you just love how iconic the deshi basara chant has become? Even if half the population makes fun of it, you got to praise the marketing and hans zimmer for creating something incredibly unique and catchy that has stayed strong since the very early days of production.

Yes! Yes! Yes! :D
