It makes complete sense and it's sickeningly full circle...but i just don't think this film can be afford to be that cruel.

It'll be close. I don't think the AMPAS is going to leave out PTA, Tarantino, Hooper, Spielberg, Jackson either though...Nolan's gonna' have his proverbial work cut out for him.

So far IMO what I have seen of Tarantino Django Unchained looks typical Tarantino that I do not understand what the academy would see in that film over TDKR or Nolan.....it does not look spectacular/mind blowing/Intense/Deep/Brilliant/etc...as TDKR. The Hobbit looks like LOTR 2.0 and from early reactions to footage its having troubles. Peter Jackson could fall in the same trap as Ridley Scott...(Both came back this year to the genres that everyone knows their great at only to make a subpar film) Though I think The Hobbit will be a better film than Prometheus by far. Maybe. But I dont think The Hobbit will be better than TDKR. And as for Spielbergs Lincoln....*sigh* I dont understand what is the hype about this?? Please someone tell me why I should care bout that film. People already saying OMG Steven Spielberg automatically gets a shoe in for oscar because its a story about Lincoln and has daniel day lewis playing him...OMG!! Psstt so what? is that suppose to be groundbreaking? or is it just typical subpar oscar political bait? as for the others I could care less. Again just my opinion

To be fair [BLACKOUT]we've seen pics of Michael and Christian that don't seem to fit anywhere in the movie but an epilogue[/BLACKOUT] so I'm convinced neither of them kicks the bucket. This is coming from an advocate of the latter.

But we'll see. I'll certainly be shocked.

I just watched TDKR FEATURETTE.... I'm completely mind blow beyond competition. O_O just speeches and I got the biggest chills I've ever felt listening to Alfred's new quote "Your seeing, only one ending to your journey. Where the man rises from the darkness."

Doesn't look like the same jacket to me at all. It might be the angle but the one in that image is more office wear whereas the one in the spy pic has a more militant feel.

Yeah I get it. The actual act is awful but in a way it feels completely right to me. I really hope this is true. Although I just don't think it will be. Then again Bane has to do something truly horrible for us to make him hate him. This could be it.

I'll say this again, TDKR can be the best film ever made....and the academy likely won't even nominate it for best picture. That's just how they roll...you should stop caring about that stuff and focus on your own thoughts and experiences of the film. Theres no superiority to be found here...it won't be the only great film that comes out this year.

Its freaking ridiculous dude. "Oh mr. spielberg you dont have to do anything groundbreaking to get nominated for an oscar because you already are in."

But when nolan does something Groundbreaking with his films everytime people always say "Oh he wont be nominated trust me...blah blah blah"

I still can't see it, but we'll see. Could in fact be the scene where Talia seizes control of the Tumblers, hence the attire, but like I said I'm not convinced it's the same clothing and I'm still very sure she's Talia.
