Nolan told them not too??? :hehe:
I thought the explanation was smoke from the smoke bombs made it impossible to differentiate between friend and enemy.

When the smoke clears, Bane's main henchman(Mr. Badass) is like, "Yeah I dont need no stinking guns to beat these civvies and pigs up! Im a badass!"

Hes met with a chorus of Yeahs! and Hell Yeahs! And Lets bring the pain!

And then the one guy in Bane's army who's kind of a wuss(Mr Wimp) is like, "You know, we're heavily armed and the smoke is clearing up so we can easily kill these guys without much trouble...right guys?"

He's met with a bullet to the side of his head.

And then the melee fighting begins.

This actually happens according to a source of mine.

That nuke thing I read here isn't real, right?

Cause that sounds like a terrible idea.

1.) It's not a nuke, more than likely.

2.) Judging from what a few sources have leaked, it's quite possible that the weapon goes off.

They both shoot, until they're out of bullets, then they beat each other to death with their fists, like real men. This movie is as much about the edges Batman and Bane are pushed to as the fictional society they're part of.

Alright, BB was to make Bruce's parents death's mean something; The Joker's purpose was to de-purpose meaning, especially of death; what do you think this story is really about?

Redemption.

Re-purpose.

Losing your soul and getting it back - both Bruce and Gotham.

This so far is what eludes me, too. As neat as Bane's plan seems to be with turning Gotham into a prison and rallying the people against the greedy/exposing Dent, his main objective seems to ultimately be destroying Gotham like Ra's was, which makes you wonder why Bane is taking the effort to go through all these loopholes if there isn't something more to it. I really hope it becomes clearer in the actual film.
Bane 's plan will at the end work if the rumors are true.

remember when Bruce was talking about a dramatic example on the plane in BB? Bane will shock the people in Gotham so much and he will destroy such a big part of Gotham that everything will end.everything will stop. they will have to start over.teh city will have to start over and be rebuild. and we all know from real life what this means.

i think everything that Bane does in the movie is a message to the people of Gotham

Hahahahahahahahaha.
You make an excellant point but I almost pissed myself at that.

I updated post #35 in the Rumors thread, in case anybody is interested.

Merry Christmas fellow bat fans!

Just read it. I don't believe it, and I think it's fan-fiction. Dent as well as Rachel are still alive at the end of TDKR? It makes no sense.

It doesn't say Dent and Rachel are alive. It says they are there in the final montage. But yeah, not only does it sound like BS, it's incoherent BS, too.

hey Guys, i was an extra in the scene. (Rags i believe was there both days as an Uber Ninja) [BLACKOUT][/BLACKOUT]

we screamed at each other then a big "explosion goes off" simulating batman supposedly droping a bomb on one of the tumblers (from his hover craft).

This rallys the cops to charge at us full speed. before we know it we are in the rumble. In some takes, gunfire goes off and some people get shot during the initial charge (every take was slightly diferent.)

so the main explanation is that your foe is in your face before you even have a chance to unsling your AK and start shooting (remember there were hundreds of us so in theory you probably only have a shot at your friend in front of you hahah)

Hope this helps.

PS also the riot shots in the trailer are not form the wallstreet NYC shoot but rather the Pittsburh shoot.

I really love what I read there. I have to ask where did you hear all of that?

EDIT: I see you got it off IMDB. Huge grain of salt with that then.

Bane breaks the mask in the first fight. not in the final fight.

So I read this quote in post 35 of the spoiler/story thread
Selina Kyle eventually finds out as does Miranda Tate.

Am I to take that in the most literal sense? Because I'm pretty sure I wouldn't make it out of the theater alive if that were the case, but at least they'd have a handle to carry me out with. :awesome:

-the bars behind Bane look like the bars from the prison. IMO Bane is in the prison next to Bruce .
-why would Bane put a jacket back on when its not cold ? why would Bane even come to the fight in a jacket and than take it down?

what are you trying to do here?

First off, Bane could be wearing a jacket in the lead up to his fight with Bats for any number of reasons. It's likely late fall when he starts his campaign and for all we know Bats comes after Bane in this scene rather than being ambushed.

Bars in a whole lot of locations look very much the same as prison bars. Including in sewers. I've personally never seen anything that makes it the most logical conclusion that Bane has Bruce locked up in a prison or that where Bane is telling Bruce about his permission to die is necessarily the same locale as the step-prison. After a fresh beating, much like what i'd expect after a fight that results in a broken cowl, I wouldn't assume Bane would drag Bruce straight to prison.

I'm not trying to do anything but question why these assumptions are just being made as if they are factual. Why are you so threatened by that?

The EMPIRE article mentioned that Bane is a warrior and mercenary. I think this means that Bane isn't from the League. He just gets paid by the League to tear Gotham apart and taking out its guardian.

Whatever the case may be, my moneys on Bane being TWICE the threat the Joker was... With all due respect to Heath.
