I'm not sure I want to look at the previous page to see what you guys are talking about :funny:

No, they don't put things in specially for the prologue. It's going to be in the film, its a quick reminder of where Gotham was and what the sacrifice in TDK was because that will be important info for TDKR

You could be right, but I disagree. TDK prolouge required no set-up because everyone knows who the Joker is. TDKR does require set-up because nobody knows who Bane is.

They wan't people to know that they're watching Batman footage.

Me and Raganork get a bit out of hand... ESPECIALLY when it comes to Tom Hardy. Just a fair warning. LOL

not really, people who have bought a ticket know what they're seeing, Nolan isn't setting up his films to appear to be Batman films, the opening to BB is pretty clear on that.

Also it's not about introducing Bane too much, it's more about starting the story. people will KNOW Bane by the end of this film. He has substantial time and some huge moments in the film. They needn't have to explain who he is in the start...The prologue doesn't do that anyway. The Gordon clip is a reminder of what we're focused on in Gotham's psyche and also a thematic elbow to the ribs for what's coming the rest of the film.

They just dont understand our love for Tom. LOL.

That's why Bane says in the prologue:

" Nobody knew who I was before I put on this mask "

Subtle move by Nolan here :-)

I'm certain that opening shot of Gordon at Dent's funeral was for the prolouge only.
I'm certain it's not for the prologue only. Because the prologue is a part of the film.

I hope the funeral is part of the beginning, I loved how he started talking while the opening logos were still on screen.

I thought he said "nobody cared who i was until i put on my mask"

For anybody that can't get enough of Nolan (you know who you are) and especially film buffs he's featured in a new documentary called These Amazing Shadows. I didn't realize he was in it until I started watching it on Netflix instant queue.

When I first saw BB, I legit thought I was in the wrong theater due to how it started.
