Such a great poster.
look he doesnt like movies that are hyped and that make money. he hated Avatar just for that. you can see it now when he talks positive about Scorseses 3D and how he likes the facial motion capture from Planet of the Apes.you can see it wit hInception. he liked Inception because he thought it would underperform.
is it fair? of course its not. but he is a guy writting about movies.
That is a complete copout. And I'm not completely dismissing the possibilities, I'm just dismissing these "possibilities" in the context of the Nolan stories. Such tight stories have no room for random instances of detective-oriented scenes just for the sake of it.I don't need to. The position that completely dismisses all avenues of possibility in a fictional and artistic context, is an illogical and unreasonable stance.
Devin Faraci not looking forward to TDKR: http://badassdigest.com/2011/12/27/the-devins-advocate-the-12-most-exciting-films-of-2012/
What is his beef with Nolan's batman films again....?

This. He already said TDKR will be the most important comic book movie of all time, although he didn't like the previous films.Probably because he already knows what will happen. Assuming of course that his spoilers are true.![]()

Eh. Devin is allowed to think what he wants. If he genuinely is not excited for the film, then all the power to him.
From what I understand he doesn't like Batman as a character either.This. He already said TDKR will be the most important comic book movie of all time, although he didn't like the previous films.
I just received word that both Christopher Nolan and Tom Hardy will be in attendance at the 12:01AM screening of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES at the Lincoln Center IMAX in NYC. They will most likely give the audience an introduction before the film starts.
I know this isn't a free movie screening, but I figured you'd all want to know. They already put advanced tickets onsale.

From memory he begrudgingly gave TDK a positive review, it was like he was trying to find something about it that he didn't like but couldn't.

What spoilers?
As she herself confirmed, Anne Hathaway will be Catwoman in the movie. I cant tell you what role she has in the beginning, but by the end of the story Catwoman isnt a villain but rather an ally of Batman. And who are they teaming up to take out?
The League of Shadows.
Headed by Talia AlGhul. With Bane, who is her muscle/possible love interest. And with Joseph Gordon-Levitt in tow. Is he playing Black Mask? My source didnt know, but did know that Levitt is certainly an antagonist and involved with the League of Shadows.
Levitt is 100% not a villain.
He gave it a positive review, but then again he gave the exact same rating to SM3 (8.5/10). Hell, I think he overrated all three Spidey movies. He gave Batman Begins a pretty mediocre rating. BB has flaws, no doubt, but I still think it's the best live action Batman flick. Can someone show me where he trashed Inception? I remember he gave it GUSHING praise in his review before the film came out. If he flip-flopped on it just because it made a lot of money, that's a pretty quick way to lose your credibility as a film critic. The success of movies like Inception should be celebrated, not demonized. WB and Nolan took a lot of risk with that movie and it easily could have flopped.

He isn't really a film critic to begin with.
