Yeah, i don't think he's the main villain by any means but:

When Bane takes over gotham the criminal element creeps to the surface. Crane returns thinking he can be the law and Bane allows this for a while for whatever reason. One of those criminal elements is, now being lead under Black Mask (buy Maybe just as Roman), we know Dagget industries is in it, what to stop Sionis Industries from appearing?

Scarecrow returning as the judge is old news. Looking forward to that scene though... going to be very entertaining.

We knew about Scarecrow...

I didn't. Sheesh....that's really redundant to have him again. Tazer'd on a horse, stopped in a van by jumping on it...what this time, just tripping him?

So hey...let's throw some other characters in there just to say we did...Croc serving coffee, Penguin hosting a game show....

Nolan's Batman (guest starring Scarecrow) trilogy.

I haven't seen or heard anything that gave me this impression, did someone tell you this? Because I haven't heard anything of the sort.

The inmates get out, so Crane stays in his cell?

Right. Because those characters were already established in the Nolanverse. :whatever:

Crane in underground lab....

"...and with this death ray...I'll take over the wo...."

<looks down, notices that it's a European power plug, and he's in Gotham>

"....crap...."

<cut to Crane standing in front of hardware store...which is closed...because it's Sunday...>

End...start of Avatar 3.....

Scarecrow is like the primary villain of a serial show... you know the recurring, comical one that always shows up but is never a real threat, so you automatically know the protagonist isn't in any real danger until a guest character shows up that makes them look like a joke.

I seriously can't tell if you're being serious. I don't see any real connection to Black Mask.

Seriously, like a cartoon series....an episode before a movie.

its not going to be a long scene from what i remember. Its going to show a messed up courtroom with some wealthy folks, Gordon, Tatalia, maybe Bruce? - getting escorted into this courtroom that is in shambles. you never see the judge at first but you hear his voice asking the jury (a bunch of the crazies from Arkham) if the detained should be put to death or banished (or something like that)... then at the last second you see the camera pan up the bench and it reveals that the judge is Crane.
