I just watched Warrior. I loved it, some great acting.

I agree. I will be buying the Blu-Ray for that movie... for real. Even though you could pretty much predict the plotline - it still delivered at the end.

Yeah, besides the ending it was predictable. But it didn't matter because I ended up caring about the characters more than the fighting. Very satisfying

I mean, I REALLY think so. It certainly fits in line with parts of the story we know and the man looks strikingly like Black Mask.

Might I inquire which parts of the plot you are referring? It has been a while, and my memory is a bit rusty. Thanks in advance!

“From the ashes of Arkham, the fires will rage and Gotham will burn.” - Azrael from Arkham City.

“When Gotham is in ashes, you have my permission to die.” - Bane from The Dark Knight Rises.

I'm nearly 100% certain there will be at least 1 or 2 Zsasz type cameos in this movie. I've heard some incarnation of Clayface mentioned a bunch of times. Black Mask seems like a stretch.

Dagget Industries is mentioned in one scene. It's supposedly run by a Mr. Striver who is played by Burn Gorman.

Btw the guy who gets dragged away from under the table in the trailer looks like Burn Gorman.

*Everyone on this forum looks up Burn Gorman on IMDB*

Dagget Industries? First time I heard of that.

Interesting.

I'd be a liar if I said I did not look up Burn Gorman after encountering the name in your post. Now, that's inception...

Between those I'd say Clayface is more a stretch for Nolan. I would love to see some of these cameos, maybe as lieutenants Bane appoints in Gotham or as mob-types that decide to take advantage of Bane's liberation. I am not holding my breath for this, though.

Too many cameos isn't necessarily a good thing.

A rumor I heard on another message board from some extras. There's a dude Jeff Hammond (I can't even find him on IMDB) who's also playing a villain and tweeted something about "revealing his new face" Someone saw him on set with prosthetics on his face.....and this is how the Clayface rumor started. There are pictures somewhere I believe.

I highly doubt ANY incarnation of Clayface.

Nolan could easily pull of the original Clayface. All he did was wear like MI type masks. He wasn't made of clay...

Hi all,
Long time reader, lost my old acct. so technically first time poster. Not trying to troll, asking this seriously... but do any of you see Bane as a junkie also? Call it what you want, but to me the "venom" always seemed like opiates or something of that nature. If he doesn't get his fix he withdrawals, and to me that's a clear-cut case of dopesick.
I'm rooting for Bane, especially since mr. "BRONSON" himself Tom Hardy is playing him (You have to caps lock the word BRONSON cus it's so epic... it's in our constitution... look it up.)
I always had a thing since I was a kid to root the bad guys. To me, Bruce is nothing but a goody two shoes billionaire with a lot of toys. He breaks the law when HE wants to (Can we say kidnapping from a non-extraditing country?) and punishes everyone else for it. Take that with a grain of salt though, I am someone who argues the finer points of Hugh Jackman being the good guy in the movie "The Prestige".
The villains have always interested me more. It's a given to root for the hero, so the writers spend extra time investing in the bad guys. The Joker's story fascinated me to the point where I saw him during the funeral, and instead of saying "Oh, look it's Heath Ledger." I leaned over to my wife and said "Holy s**t! There's the Joker without makeup! The part where neither boat hits the trigger, the look of disappointment and the dramatic swelling of the music... Oh man. I wanted to COMFORT him. That look on his face.
Sorry for the epically big post, just had a lot to say. I hope I am not alone in wishing that Bane loses his mask and goes dopesick crazy on billionaire bat-punk. Holy snapped vertebrae, batman!
Anyway, glad to be back among my fellow movie nerds/buffs that CAN'T WAIT to see TDKR, whether or not they are rooting for good or evil. Batman may ultimately win, but Bane will have his moment of glory. I PROMISE you that!

To me, this Bane seems too 'in control' to be addicted or dependent on a substance like that unless it really was important to his survival. He'll use it to get stronger, sure....but I can't see him being helpless or non-functional without it unless it really is a health thing, which doesn't make him a 'junkie' to me....just like Mr. Freeze isn't a cold-temp addict or what have you.

Still... seeing him in a dope sick total RAGE just beating the living crap out of anyone or anything he can get his hands on because of the withdrawal pains would be sick. Think of the opening fight in BRONSON (again, mandatory caps lock) when he is nude and wailing on like 6 guards... then times it by five. Ugh... It's making the nerd in me do the fish dance. :hrt:

Wait we haven't even had an indication if he'll even use any sort of stimulant in TDKR.

As of now we know he has a facial apparatus and that's about it. It's function and Banes reason for using it, is still very much a mystery.

I think the rage part is probably ingrained into him as a character through his background and life, less so chemically-driven. And he has purpose to it...anti-social as it may be. I'd say the chemical (or Venom) is more of a tool at this point and not necessarily a facilitator in that respect. If anything, if there's extreme and debilitating pain without the drug, it would further emphasize how extra-capable and focused an individual he is if he could organize something on this scale. Most of us would lead a much more careful and probably secluded life with an affliction like that, just out of self-preservation/caution. This guy's apparently made of tougher and more dedicated stuff...chemical or no chemical. I don't think anyone can do that if they're at the mercy of a chemical like a drug-addict would be.

Im not sure if you've ever personally known anyone who is strung out or dopesick. But they sure as heck aint gonna be stronger or able to fight better because someone is depriving them of their Opiates. In fact they would be physically much weaker. And I do know from personal experience. Not from Heroin but from Oxies and Methadone and Suboxone...

Or be able to jump out of planes and parachute....or organize a small militia....or mount an offensive attack on a stadium....or.....

:O

Exactly...
There is some angle to the venom thing or whatever it is he might be taking but it aint gonna be anything like a dopesick... Batman would kick his ass even with 2 broken legs...

As a former addict (chewing 4 30mg oxycodne HCL's with my pancakes) I can tell you this... when he's doing all the physical stuff, he has the mask on, and without, I can attest that there are moments during the sickness when you're in so much pain you want to slam your fist through something out of sheer desperation/rage. IDK, probably not an addict, but just food for thought. I do enjoy speculating and imagining him as a strung out, give me my fix or I'll wring your neck junkie.

I know you really want him to be a junkie man but there really hasn't been any indication that this version of Bane uses drug at all.

All we know is he has that apparatus for his face. The function of it is a mystery.
