Do Batman fans this board own the Burton films B89 & BR on DVD as well as TDKT? As a Spider-Man fan I own all 3 Spider-Man films SM1,SM2,TASM.
I own and have bought every Batman movie the day it has come out, except for TDKR and a few of the animated movies.

I have to get the Burton films, or at least the first one on Blu-ray soon. Don't know why I never bought some of the Spider-Man or X-Men movies on dvd/blu ray. I always buy outside of the comic book or horror genre. But ill probably pick up a few one of these days.

I still have the Burton films on VHS. I think it's time to upgrade. lol

I own all the Burton/Shumacher films on VHS, DVD and as of a week ago Blu-ray. I'm a completionist when it comes to Batman lol.

I have all the live action Batman movies on blu-ray, the Adam West one included.

Same with Spider-Man. Have the Raimi trilogy and TASM on blu-ray.

Been listening to Zimmer's fantastic soundtrack. His score is easily one of the best things about the entire trilogy.

This track is one of my personal favorites:
[YT]YUOHRIGWxTQ[/YT]

It perfectly captures the tragedy behind Batman and the loss of Bruce's childhood innocence.

Zimmer's work on Batman is by far his best work when it comes to superheroes. Although I liked Zimmer's main Superman theme, I thought most of his track was pretty generic. I don't think Zimmer with his more personal style was a great choice for Superman. Spider-Man is more personal like Batman is, which is a good sign. I hope the TASM2 soundtrack is just as great as the BB/TDK/TDKR soundtrack was.

Don't forget James Newton Howard collaborated with Zimmer on the BB soundtrack.

I rather missed his touch on TDK and TDKR. I absolutely love the theme at 0:37 in Corynorhinus. Maybe my favorite of that film.

Yeah, I have all those. I have all volumes of BTAS too. To be honest, even though I'd likely buy remastered versions of the series, I'm quite content with them on DVD.

He collaborated with Zimmer on the TDK soundtrack too. I'm not sure why he was absent from TDKR though.

Also, Zimmer is collaborating with other people on the TASM2 soundtrack as well.

True! LOL sometimes I forget that since TDK very much feels more like Zimmer and less like JNH.

I've got Batman Returns on DVD along with the TDKT.

I hope Zimmer keeps the main theme, Young Peter for The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Anyone know what this film did in Japan? Did it bomb like TDK? Did it crawl by to a decent turnout? Did it blow up?

That's half of RDJ's salary from The Avengers, for those of you keeping track. ;)

i was going to make a thread on this but i really dont know how to do one on just that.

did bane proove the joker right? did he just want to see society crumble?

i ask because of in dark knight rises when we see a servant/butler drag a woman in a fur coat out to the street...

Just read knightfall. Vol 1. Very good comic. Liked it a bit more than tdkr version.

That's because Bane is more impressive in that he studies and figures out Batman's identity and weakness himself. He doesn't get it handed to him by the LOS. Along with everything else.

I just realised that Spider-Man Regin is a copy cat of TDKReturns...

Knightfall is kind of a tedious read for me. I love the breaking scene though, of course.

This brings up a lot of good points about how the issues people bring up with Rises can be just as easily applied to the untouchable TDK. I don't use this as a way to discredit TDK in any way, nor do I feel most of these problems with the film are enough to ruin it for me, but it's exactly the type of criticisms that people toss at Rises without any prejudice but completely ignore the same problems in TDK.
