thx joker. ive seen that one already, and caine also said cobb wasnt in a dream too. so i think his cred is spotty at best. but a fellow member on here said that bale and nolan have said this and it would be really cool if anyone finds them to send a brother a pm. but again thx joker for that bro.
Nolan also said Cobb isn't in a dream too, not just Caine.

dude i would be utterly shocked if he said that. he is on record as saying hes bored of that question. and he says that people ask him that all the time and he said the funny part is they actually think he is going to answer it. so if you have a link to that it would turn my world upside down.

When Bruce and Selina are sitting at the table in Italy, Bruce has the scar on his head when Bane broke his cowl. Pay closer attention people.

Cobb wasn't dreaming at the end, it was real. It's been proven. The key is Cobb's wedding band and when he's wearing it throughout the film. Caine was right.

Bruce has the scar and Lucius found out about the autopilot, Bruce is alive.

Nevermind, it was Caine. :P

Simple as that. The film lead us to this conclusion and for the big reveal to be a dream sequence would be nonsensical and against the established tone. Alfred’s speech about his dream early on heavily alluded to what we’d receive. Gordon looks around as the signal is repaired, knowing Bruce is likely out there. Fox finds out about the autopilot, getting the hint as well. Blake provided with coordinates to the batcave where he finds spelunking gear. And then Alfred sees Bruce with his own eyes, the dream now a reality. The key people are informed.

Actually, The Dark Knight Returns Batman retired for a decade (after fighting for decades) and didn't lock himself up in Wayne Manor. He still went out and about socializing, trying to have a "good death" while race car driving, walking the crime ridden streets of Gotham, etc. He gave it up for a bit because his partner was killed in action. That's different than quitting life and taking up archery in your dad's pajamas because the city is supposedly, kinda, sorta crime free, your woman died, and some nuclear clean energy project bombed.

And they're still letting Goyer and Snyder make this film...

While they have Affleck...who could probably direct and write circles around the two, act?

Great.

I can TOTALLY see him as Bruce Wayne; as Batman not so much to be honest. :/

Rag, are you saying Ben should be the writer / director and Goyer should act as Batman? :oldrazz:

We'd probably be better off.

I was already not happy with MoS as a whole, So I didn't have much faith in this Batman/Superman thing but it's almost as if WB is toying with us by getting someone with so much talent on the creative end, just to act.

Affleck can write and direct better than Goyer and Snyder. It seems like a total waste.

Maybe Ben's participation is a bit of an endorsement of the film's quality? I wonder if he's read a script for it?

I have to say, potential writing problems of the film aside (and they were always there), I'm excited by this casting.

I'm whatever with the casting. He's a fine actor...

The film itself was already in danger because of the Director/Writer duo and the apparent lack of Nolan involvement this time around.

Well, that officially puts an end to The Dark Knight Trilogy era. :'( :csad:

Anyone who thought Bale would come back was deluding himself / herself. Sorry. That's just how it is.

Hate to say I told you so. But I did.

At least I'll always have this great trilogy to go back to.

I'm not that happy at getting Affleck for the part. I think he can pull off Bruce Wayne, but a "meh" Batman. And Batman is who the character truly is while Bruce Wayne is the mask. So I can't say I'm looking forward to it much. I also know for a fact that Affleck has stated multiple times that he is done playing superheroes and that wearing the Daredevil suit was one of the most embarrassing things he ever did. Now all of a sudden he is playing the most popular and second most iconic superhero of our time. That gives me the vibe that he is mainly doing this for the money.

However, I am not surprised one bit at this point. The whole film looks like an entire mess at this point and I've completely given up on it. I disagree with everyone who is acting as if this will ruin the film or as if it is the worst decision they did so far with the film. It isn't. I am far more worried over Frank Miller's involvement in the script than I am over Affleck playing Batman.

Say what you want about MOS, but you can't deny that a lot of heart was put into it and that they at least tried their best to find a balance between Superman's larger-than-life godlike nature and his humanity (and in my opinion, they succeeded on that). This film doesn't even seem to have that. This was entirely WB's decision (Snyder even admitted it) and you can tell that both Snyder and Goyer are not happy with the decision. Heck, they only found out about it not too long before Comic Con and are currently in the process of doing the outline. No, not the script. The outline.

I feel like I am sitting here and am watching this film get worse and worse with each announcement. Of course that I could wrong and it could be good, but nothing looks good to me at this point other than the good things that will transition from MOS to this film.
