Nice one. Is your nephew destined to be a big Batman fan like his Uncle then?
Have you never splashed out the likes of $300 on anything Batman related for yourself? I know I have. Several times. Which reminds me; is anyone here getting anything Batman related for Christmas? I'm getting a couple of Batman t-shirts, Batman slippers, the Playarts Arkham Origins Joker, and this Harley Quinn bust/money bank: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/386887424211031683/

Yeah he needs to go on the grounded in reality path.
They could have used that idea and made it work. But would that have made the film better? I dont think so.Bane using child soldiers...would that have been too tacky of an idea?

Thematically, I think it could.
Bane uses the schism between the rich and the poor, those benefiting from the Dent Act and those suffering from it, to build his army. Presenting his child soldiers as victims of the Dent Act (in the same way that terrorists use grievances from the past to justify arming children and using civilians as shields) would allow this concept to work.
Exactly. It's easy because we have everything laid out for us. We have the foundation. Im sure even the creators can look at their work years later, and come up with ideas on how to add this and that. I think a lot of these filmmakers have a time limit on shooting, post-production etc and so it's not the same as say...Stanley Kubrick or Terrance Malick who can take years to scratch this and add that to the project. It's so much easier for us to look at TDKR and go "it's great but i would have added this, and extended that part, tossed out this scene". I know for a fact that i wouldn't be able to write or film something with a time limit on it. Paul Thomas Anderson was saying this recently.Thematically, a lot of things could have worked. It´s kind of easy to add things to a story. It´s easy to point out what´s poorly done and what could have been done better. It´s also easy to tweak a story in order to make it sound even better. Anyone can do that. The true challenge lies on creating something from scratch. That´s why almost anyone can point out how a movie could have been even better, but very few could actually write a good script.
Yap.
And i think it makes people feel smart. They point out mistakes and come up with new little ideas for that story, and it probably makes them feel like they could´ve done a better job than Nolan.
"What about this idea? And this one? Isn´t this cool? This ending would have been soooooo much better"
Congratulations. Now go write a script better than Rises. You will fail and i will laugh. Happy new year.
