Can anyone provide details about both the Superman funeral and the CK funeral? Someone mentioned earlier that they thought the Superman casket was headed to Arlington.

i'll have to see it again but i don't remember where he was buried but I don't think it was Arlington...I want to ay it was the spot where he died

It isn't domination. It's Batman beating the **** out of a guy who could have killed him, but didn't. Which means Batman is the a-hole and Supes is the good guy. The fight needs to be that way. It's how Supes proves himself to Bats. If Supes gives Bats the beating he could, he proves Bats is right.

If it makes you feel better by the end they portray Superman as the bigger man. Batman even admits he was in the wrong, having 'failed' superman.

Not really feeling better. If / when superman comes back, if they ever disagree or have an argument Bruce will have that look in his eye that says 'I beat you down and could have killed you once, don't make me do it again'. Superman didnt have give Bruce a beating and I don't mind Bruce winning my gripe is that he didn't have to win so convincingly like he was beating a random warehouse thug.

Just got back. It was glorious. 9/10 for me.

ETA And for the Supes fans, he is THE hero of the movie. Wasn't short changed at all. For the Bats fans, he's NOT the psychotic killer some are implying.

Just how exactly does Doomsday kill Superman? Is it graphic or simply implied? One would hope that the R-rated cut would not go too far.

It wasn't like that. It was pretty close, even with the kryptonite. Supes can sort of fight his way through it. He doesn't go down until the SECOND kryptonite grenade.

Based on what I am reading it seems like DC is going all in with a New 52 type continuity, a Clark with no secret identity, a bit more moody, etc. Their Justice League seems to be following suit (Cyborg over Manhunter, for example). Its unfortunate. New 52 is terrible.

Clark's identity being revealed is a recent thing and might not even last. I'm surprised people still call the New52 terrible when it's given rise to plenty of great stories.

As someone who likes Martian Manhunter over Cyborg, I still don't find Cyborg being on the league an issue.

He was buried on the family farm.

Um.....Bats can only win by cheating. That's not convincing. And who cares if he later acts like he can take out Supes any time. Everyone knows he only stands a chance if Supes lets him.

Thank god because i was beginning to suspect I saw a different cut of the film

Are there any mentions or allusions to any WW-related characters? Like the gods, Hippolyta/the Amazons, Steve, Barbara Minerva, etc.? Or is she just shrouded in mystery for the whole thing?

Agreed. No matter what they tried to come up, it's not going to make Superman fans feel better.

thanks.

also, were there any Kansas references in this film ( aside from Clark being buried in Smallville )?

like, saying Clark got a journalist degree from University of Kansas?

or mentioning the KC Royals?

stuff like that?

Impaled him. No blood.
That open wound in his chest after was pretty gore and red though. But he wasn't losing blood all over the place or anything. Maybe that's where the "R" rating comes into play with the violence.

They are looking at Doomsday in the epic three shot
Superman: "It's kryptonian. It's not of this world."
WW:"I fought monsters not of this world before."
