The fact that I lost track of where she was and what she was doing in the fight scene with Doomsday doesn't mean that she wasn't the most formidable fighter (which only stands to reason since Batman doesn't have any powers and Superman, although powerful, is inexperienced).

I'm not quite sure what you're asking about the title. The actual title appears in the lower right corner, in ALL CAPS, in relatively plain font during one of the first scenes. It's just overlayed over the scene in question.

Is the fight between Superman and Doomsday epic, though?

"Lex, being the vindictive-and-unhinged replacement for the Joker that he is, leaves his own personal cup of “peach tea” for a character, in a scene I wont spoil"

this was in a review I read, please tell me this doesn't happen

It happens. It was discussed earlier in this thread.

Between Superman and Doomsday? Or between the trinity and Doomsday?

If the latter, it is "epic". But, it's also at night, in a wasteland full of destruction and covered in fire. So, it was hard for me to follow everything that was happening, who was going what, where everyone was, where Doomsday was, etc.

And, other than the end, there were no major "hero" moments for each of the trinity where they clearly demonstrated their unique abilities on camera to show why they would make an effective team.

To be fair, I'm not a fan of fight scenes where you can't easily follow the participants and the action. I also saw it in 3D and I find it harder to focus / see / track movement during live action films in 3D.

For those of you who have seen the film, is it that much darker than MOS as some people are suggesting? What is a roughly appropriate age for a child to view it?

That's very difficult to answer as every parent and every child is different.

I was most ... disturbed by scenes involving Lois Lane and Martha Kent. The end is obviously disturbing, but being a comic book fan, it's hard to take the events to heart too ... seriously. Even my partner who is a Superman fan, but not really a comic book fan, shrugged off the ending because he's confident that Superman will return.

I thought it was cool when Supes first took on Doomsday. He had both hands on Doomsday's giant fist.

What about the death blow when the Trinity did a combo attack? Wonder Woman had her golden lasso out. Bats used the gas he made. Supes charged in.

thanks.

also, were there any Kansas references in this film ( aside from Clark being buried in Smallville )?

like, saying Clark got a journalist degree from University of Kansas?

or mentioning the KC Royals?

stuff like that?

X Knight, are you from/in Kansas?
I'm asking because I am in KC and grew up in small-town Kansas.

Has anyone thought that the nightmare scene of him at his parents tomb was a Man-Bat nod? It was obviously a large bat that burst out, but it made me think of the villain too obviously. If that's how'd they do him in this universe that'd be cool to see on the big screen.

Thanks for all of the responses. I appreciate the honesty.

You probably missed the part where Batman hits Doomsday with his final kryptonite grenade...then WW ties him up with her lasso while Superman flew in with the spear

That sounds amazing!

what about the part where Spider-Man jumps in, webs up Doomsday, and says "Hey Everyone!"?

Um. The text you quoted includes the words "other than the end" (i.e. the part where Batman gasses Doomsday, Wonder Woman restrains Doomsday and Superman sacrifices himself to stab Doomsday through the chest with the kryptonite spear).

Gosh darn it, I missed that part. Thank goodness the extended Spider-Man and Deadpool scene should be included in the R-rated version on DVD.

Can anyone be kind enough to explain what Bats does during the Doomsday fight? I know he runs a lot but does he have a "moment" ?

When the trinity finally decide to fight together he has a moment but until then he's just running

I'm not sure about the names, but Lex's files on Wonder Woman, Cyborg, The Flash and Aquaman inexplicably utilise their "symbols" as a means of identifying the files (or at least three of them - I'm unaware of whether Cyborg has an official symbol and, if he does, whether it matches the one used by Lex).

It's possible that the file names also included their superhero names. I tried to read the file names, but they flashed by too quickly for me to see whether they actually said anything of relevance (i.e. their superhero or civilian names).

It's time for Batman's cardio workout. We see him doing cross-fit earlier in the day and his afternoon / evening workout session is running. And grappling. And running.

Batman is also responsible for luring Doomsday to the area of Gotham where the kryptonite spear is located. So, he also gets Doomsday in position for the take-down and inadvertently crafted just the weapon needed to stop Doomsday.
