Don't think Supes dies.

Here's how I think it plays out:‎

1. Supes/Bats are wary of each other--Supes gives warning (the bat is dead).

2. Bats gets K-rock, builds Mechsuit to destroy Supes.*

3. Mechsuit fight initiated by Bats. Supes doesn't want to kill him. K-rock helps Bats "win"

4. Bats' "victory" is short lived because Lois, trying to escape Lex, who has kidnapped her, gets in mortal danger.

5. Supes is too weak to save Lois, so Bats does. *Truce is called--Lois reveals Lex's DD plans and they know he's the enemy.

6. Supes, having recovered, goes to Lex (what have you done?). Lex says he will release DD on humanity unless Supes fights Bats to the death. *

7. Supes refuses because he knows Bats doesn't stand a chance. * The mechsuit was destroyed and Bats has K-rock but it won't be enough without the extra strength of the suit. He kneels before Lex to beg him to reconsider his plan (kneeling scene). *Lex sneers, Supes goes to stop him. Too late. DD unleashed.

8. Superman knows it's his fault, so he is willing to die to stop DD. *He takes him into the atmosphere and tosses him far away into space, but crashes back to Earth.*

9. He comes back to life; story ends with Bats thanking him and trusting him.

Thoughts?

So I thought Lex started meddling much earlier. And how does Louis get wrapped up in all of this initially?I've heard she was doing some snooping around. Why would Lex use her as leverage if he didn't already know that they were a thing? Or maybe I'm overanalyzing that piece.

There's a dude over on reddit who is telling all the business, with the exception of the tear jerker scene. I've seen many people reference that. I'm not sure how reliable he is though.

With only a few exceptions on other forums the reaction to this initial viewing has been relatively quiet. Is there no larger consensus for this film? One person over at the Box office forums saw it and fielded questions. He gave it a B+. It seems like allot is being held back from those not professionally bound to the embargo.

I'm a pretty defensive guy when it comes to Superman and don't like other heroes getting shortchanged in favor of Batman, but honestly the idea of him dying to save the day doesn't bother me, it's just that if it happens I can see it being very strange to watch or just a weird ending. Of course anything can be executed well, I just don't wanna hear comparisons to flying back in time for the next few years.

As far as the actual fight, most regular people, even casual Batman fans already are asking how Batman could ever beat Superman even with Kryptonite, so it's not like everyone thinks Superman's a wuss.

I'm pretty sure most people are going to understand in the movie that at the end, neither really wants to hurt the other after some realizations, or

Superman decides it's not worth it and lets Batman wail on him until Batman realizes he messed up or Batman has a heart attack.

That's not so much Superman getting shown up in his movie as they are showing that he's the bigger man and willing to die for others. Superman as a fantasy always has been about having absolute power and never using it for personal gain.

I'm a little frustrated because I do want more detail on Aquaman. I just can't believe he doesn't have anything more to do. For God's sake he has action figures out right now. Apparently the Flash's appearance is really important but he doesn't have any action figures out now.

I still don't know what you're talking about... That's what happens to him in the comics, I'm just saying how it's going to be cool to see this God meet his match physically. What's your deal man? Lighten up.

Superman also beat Doomsday to death. Both took each other out, it wasn't like Doomsday killed Superman and walked off.

And Superman has met his match physically many times in comics and movies (Superman II, Man of Steel, various comics with him fighting Doomsday, Darkseid, Captain Marvel, etc.).

Also - for the record, there's no way they have a JL movie without Superman.

That's leaving money on the table and there's no way WB doesn't show up to the show with all their big guns.

"dead" or not, Superman will continue to exist in these films without a doubt in my mind.

Cavill's already talked about getting ready to film Justice League, so we know Superman will be in it.

Neither do I. That new reddit "leak" has me confused because he says a couple things that don't add up.
1. He doesn't mention the opening credit montage, but those guys who reviewed it did.
2. He says that the first time we see Supes is at the senate hearing, which I don't believe.
And some of continuity things that don't add up.
